Tv for Dad
Hi there, family have decided we should get my Dad a new tv for his 80th birthday and I'm looking at this:
SAMSUNG UE32H5000 32" LED TV As I know I'll have to chisel other people's share for this I don't want to spend a lot as I'm going to get burned! They don't have any fancy app's aroung what they have just a DVD player thats not HDMI but if needed the chosen set can cope with an upgrade. Thanks in advance |

Not sure what your question is exactly, but I see Richer Sounds are doing that set for £200, with a 5 year guarantee included.
http://www.richersounds.com/product/...sams-ue32h5000 It's got 2 HDMI sockets + 1 Scart, so you can connect the DVD player via scart. |

Check that it's big enough. I organised buying my old boy a TV a few years ago and he was v grateful etc but he was right, it is a tad too small. With hindsight I wish we'd gone bigger. Old folk always want to avoid making a fuss etc and often pretend not to watch it anyway but with worsening eyesight at that age it'll be worth checking if something bigger wouldn't be more suitable.

Thanks for the replies but Currys didn't have any in the warehouses and don't do branch transfers and Richersounds, again only branch shops had any left and you have to pick it up as they don't mail out from branches well thats what their website said so tesco's had it but at £19 dearer! but the deed is done.
