Will there be any live feed for the summer series? An hour a night or anything?

The only feed we get is chicken feed.

We don't even get that. I remember after the final of BB3, I actually sat and watched the chicken cam that was still streaming. The excitement I felt when someone came to feed them.

Remember back in the day when they left the cameras on even when the winner left and most of us stared at the empty house

BB2 Left the table spin cam on for a good week after the series ended. Looking at the house without the lighting on made it feel spooky. The only light came through the patio doors. It was also great where they left the main feed running after Brian won and we watched security walking around the house with family members. They even played with the swingball in the garden. Then when that ran out, you could turn to the +2 feed and watch it all over again.

If only channel five had as much money as a backyard chicken keeper they could run live feed too! http://members.optusnet.com.au/isaksen/bigroll.GIF

That is pathetic, it should be a full live feed or none at all.

Hear hear.

If I can't watch people sleep I'm not interested.

It's the watching them when they are awake part that's best I seem to recall.
Oh yer that was only on C4 when there actually was a 24/7 live feed.

Just goes to show that Mr Nobody can run a live feed service from anywhere but a TV production company can't!

More a question of won't and don't want to so they can script the whole reality with editing.

I really don't know why people still watch this as it is now so far beyond a joke, it isn't worth it. How can people comment on something that is just not reality at all?

That's it in a nutshell really.
BB:CAN offers a 24/7 feed streamed out on the net with a choice of 4 live cameras for free.
There was a quote from one of the BB:CAN producers a while back where they said that a live feed keeps the show honest.

The whole point of the Live Feed was to watch the Housemates 24/7. What if they were awake at 6am for a task or decided to do an all nigher?

I remember during Big Brother 8 when a few of the housemates decided to sit in the garden all night and talk. I actually watched that all night.

That's what Big Brother is about, a group of people in a house being watched 24/7. Not some structured reality show where the producers interfere so much that it no longer becomes a fit be called a 'reality' show.

BB8 also had the stay awake for 60 hours task...which they failed but they had night time arguments and began nominating at like midnight

Yep , yet again for the umpteenth year, there is nothing for me to watch as I dont 'do' the highlight show, so it's another year without BB for me

I will never understand why they don't put live feed online. They could intercept it with adverts and possibly even take a little more from the sponsor for having their branding plastered all over it. Moreover, if they're not willing to do it for free then make it a subscription service akin to BB11.

The real reason we don't have live feed has nothing to do with cost. The real reason we don't have live feed is because the producers want to ensure they can manipulate everything and have an environment which is artificially managed with as little in common with the original concept of the show as possible. Without live feed they have been able to send housemates out for magazine interviews, send producers into the house to manage tasks, and even let people s**t in the kitchen appliances with no repercussions. THIS IS WHY THERE IS NO LIVE FEED.

EDIT: After posting this I realised that the first sentence I wrote was incorrect; it is infact quite clear why there is no live feed.

Big Brother 8 was great for Live Feed especially the days when Ziggy & Chanelle would argue. I remember the day when Chanelle was leaving and the camera accidentally zoomed onto Chanelle's piece of paper with loads of phone numbers written on it.

Who can forget her in out in out day on the live feed

First she was leaving then she wasn't and when she disappeared to the diary room, people thought she had gone and then she popped back in again

And not forgetting the controversial "my agent wants to sign you" she whispered to Ziggy when she went back as part of a task
