With Nadia, of course some housemates will lose popularity during their return. Others gain in popularity (Nick!) - that's Big Brother im afraid. In any case, if you put 14 ex housemates in with an average positioning of about 5th in their first series they're not all going to place as highly as they once did.”
Most of them placed lower or stayed vaguely the same but still without the viewers being enthusiastic. It was not neatly divided with as many going up as went down. Nick may even be the only one who gained in popularity, and even then I think most of the gain had already happened over the years since bb1.
Makosi was not one of the most unpopular HMs of all time. She even managed to come third in the bb6 final, ahead of both Craig and Kinga. For much of the series, she was popular; and she also seemed reasonably popular by the time UBB came around.

Yes, I think that's how many saw it: brilliant until "Poolgate" (and the strange pregnancy claim); crowd a disgrace. The crowd seemed especially bad that year. Sam had water thrown on her, and Vanessa was hit with (I think) an orange.

But I agree that i hope the ex HMs are just for tasks.”
I'm not sure what you mean by "good for"; but my point was the viewers weren't enthusiastic about most of them: either already unenthusiastic at the start, or becoming so (or worse) as the series went on.
There was enthusiasm for Nick and Vic here; I'm not sure how general it was.
