The 'Daily Challenge - May Game
Dailians!
The end of April will soon be here so time is running out if you’re thinking about submitting a team for May’s ‘Daily Challenge game. Don’t worry if you haven’t played before. Just read the rules below and get posting. You might end up top of the Leaderboard with your first attempt! New players are always welcome. It’s a very easy game to play. The object of the game is to pick a team of 11 characters from those listed below which you think will score the more points than the other people playing the game. New players will need to pick a name for their team. Those of you who played in the ‘Daily Challenge last month can retain the same name or change it (if you think you’ve thought of something better.) Once you’ve whittled your shortlist down to 11 characters you will then need to nominate one of them as Captain. This character will have their score doubled so you’re really looking to identify the character which you think will score the most points during the month to maximise your chances of winning. Then, simply post your choices on the thread or send them to me via PM, and keep an eye out for the Monday ‘Daily to see how your “team” is doing in the score updates. The scoring system works as follows:- + 1 point per episode appearance + 1 point for the character that speaks the first words in the episode. + 1 point for the character that speaks the last words in the episode before the break. + 1 point for the character that speaks the first words in the episode after the break + 1 point for the character that speaks the last words in the episode. + 1 point for any kisses on the lips. If you have both characters who kiss in your team each character will receive a point. + 2 bonus points for any character that appears in 6 or more episodes during the week. In the event of any episodes being transmitted on a weekend the week will run from Monday to Sunday. + Remember that your team Captain gets their score doubled!!! Your “Starting List” for May’s ‘Daily Challenge is as follows:- • Remember you need to select ELEVEN characters (including a captain) – no more, no less. * Victoria Cottage Priya Amba Rakesh Kirin Butler’s Farm Cain Moira Adam Pete Noah Connelton View Brenda Bob Cathy Heath Dale Head Dan Kerry Dale View Andy Ross Finn Emma Farrer’s Barn David Alicia Jacob The Grange Val Eric Holdgate Jai Rishi Georgia Megan Home Farm Lawrence Chrissie Robert Lachlan Jacob’s Fold Pearl Keeper’s Cottage Betty Victoria Mill Cottage Jimmy Angelica Gaby Bernice Rodney Mulberry Cottage Debbie Sarah Jack Tall Trees Marlon Laurel Arthur April Doug Tenant’s Cottage Ali Ruby Amelia Rachel Archie Tug Ghyll Leyla Vanessa Carly The Vets Paddy Rhona Leo Wishing Well Cottage Zak Lisa Belle Sam Samson Woodbine Cottage Edna Sandy The Vicarage Ashley Harriet The Woolpack Diane Chastity James Aaron Others Tracy Those are you who would like some help with their team selection can find some hints:- http://www.digitalspy.co.uk/soaps/s12/emmerdale/ and http://www.itv.com/emmerdale/coming-up/ The deadline for teams to be submitted is: Friday 01 May at 7:00pm |

The 'Daily Challenge - May's Boys Versus Girls Team Game
Alongside the main game is the Boys Versus Girls Team Challenge .
You do not need to do an extra “work” for this other than specify which gender you are if it is not already listed on your profile. For the purposes of this game, each player will have just their Captain included in their relevant team. If there is an imbalance in numbers the Captain of the team with the lower number gets to pick who makes up the deficit. For example if there were 14 Girls playing and 10 Boys playing and SULLA was Boys Captain then he could pick whoever he likes to make up the 4 additional places in his team. These four additional "players" could be the same as his Captain, or, if he wanted to spread the risk he could pick a number of different characters. Each team also has an appointed Team Captain. Thanks to lotty27 and dullagj2 for Captaining the teams in April. For May the Team Captains will be:- thejoyof_pat and SoapAddict101 Girls Team – Captained by: thejoyof_pat Team Name – JoP’s Jubilant Jesters and Boys Team – Captained by: dullagj2 Team Name – Soapie’s Superior Soldiers Remember, the Team Captains are both able to nominate one more character who will have their points doubled and added to the overall team score. This character can be anyone on the Starting List and does not have to be the character that the Team Captain has picked as Captain for their individual team. Those who have registered teams so far are:- Girls Team Captain: thejoyof_pat Bonus character selected: Not yet selected + Alleycat666 + Melephunk2010 Team comprised of:- Chrissie (x1) Marlon (x1) Boys Team Captain: SoapAddict101 Bonus character selected: Not yet selected dennisboy Team comprised of:- Chas (x1) |

Evening all
, thanks for the thread Sunny![]() I am not happy tonight, after paying £7.99 to get a parcel next day delivery (it's a birthday present), DPD never turned up. After tracking the parcel online it says they tried to deliver it but there was no one in (a load of rubbish as I most certainly was). On phoning them I was told that there was a van parked in front of the courier's van so instead of actually getting out and walking 100 yards with the small not heavy box, the dozy incompetent berk waited behind the van for 10 minutes then simply drove off ![]() . He refused to drive the 10 minute back despite my offering to pay, and they wouldn't tell me where he'd gone so I could go and fetch it myself either . To say I was fuming is an understatement, I have never ever ranted down the phone before today .
