Hi all,

So, I've been reading about this mysterious key in Stacey's possession. I've never seen or heard it mentioned in an episode before (I must've fell asleep during the episode ), but apparently Stacey first gave it to Lauren to look after whilst she was in prison and said it was important. Lacey Turner has said recently that the storyline will be revisited next week.

So what's the big secret with the Key? Does it lead to Stacey's super-villain hideout? Does it lead to the Bat-Cave? Or maybe it leads to the magical land of Narnia? Or maybe somewhere more mundane? Like a stinky basement full of Aunt Babe's marijuana? Or an expensive house occupied by Max Branning's army of secret wives and children? Seriously though, I think it could be related to Bradley or tied to her time away from the Square.

Get your guessing hats on, folks . Feel free to throw out serious and funny theories.

A lock up full of more Carters. Or Max's supply of prophylactics.

I've heard so much about the key and usually don't miss an episode but I cannot recall anything about it

- can't believe the rape storyline is STILL ongoing. Don't get me wrong, it's raising awareness but they're showing the same old scenes every episode. I remembered there were millions of threads about Phil and Sharon's wedding day and how it was Shirley's fault. Poor Shirley received a lot of backlash from some fans

She doesn't know what it is either. She learns what it is in Friday's episode.

I'm guessing someone posted it through her letterbox telling her to keep it safe or something.

I know! I can't believe it either, esp as it doesn't look like it is anywhere near it's conclusion either. Intially it was about raising awareness but a Christmas reveal and a Dean attempting to set fire to the Vic is bordering more on sensationalism.

Oh yes! I remember that. They were everywhere and Shirley did get a LOT of flack. I remember a lot of posters saying he would treat Sharon better - like hell he is. I was surprised that Shirley received so much backlash yet Phil, very little. Interestingly outside of forums many Twitter and Facebook fans, wanted them back together! I remember recieving a lot of flack for preferring them to Phil and Sharon at the time too. (even though I maintain that I didn't like how they made Shirley fawn over Phil - it was embarrassing and a 360 turn from the months prior when she wasn't remotely interested).

'Re Stacey's key - they have kept it secret for over a year - it had better be worth it! My favorite idea is that it leads to Narnia. Ronnie would be the white Queen and Billy would be Mr Tumnus.

I see, I see. Thanks for that.

Interesting. I hope the story ends up making some sense as right now it all looks a bit random. How can Stacey know it's important if she don't even know what it opens? Why is she so quick to take the word of this stranger? For all she knows, it could be the key to some useless music box . It's strange for her to be treating it with such importance when she's in the dark about it like the viewers.

I can't imagine it'll be anything shocking. Won't fall for it again after Max's "world shattering secret " (Kirsty Branning reveal).
