There's still SO many holes to the 'Who KIlled Lucy' storyline

This storyline feels extremely incomplete.

- Lucy hitting her head after her scuffle with Max. The Beale's still aren't aware of this, I'd like to see them discover this somehow, as there is a slight possibility it may have contributed to her eventual demise
- Lucy's fight with Denise. Nobody is aware of this apart from Denise herself. Would be interesting to see this explored further.
- What was Lauren really doing on Good Friday? - We know she was walking up to the Beale's front door, as there was video evidence of it. Was she telling the truth when she said she was tempted for a drink, or did she venture up there for other reasons? We still don't know for sure as she wasn't in the flashback episode.
- Bobby and Lucy's confrontation before he hit her with the box. Again, we don't know for sure what exactly happened. Jane wasn't there to witness it. Did he come downstairs with the intention of hitting her? Or did she say/do something to provoke him?
- Emma to Max: 'You know.' We still have no idea what she meant by this. It was clearly put in the script for a reason.

There's still a lot of holes to this story, which I'd like to see explored at some point, because to me, the story still feels very incomplete. Once Bobby was revealed as the killer, the plot was instantly dropped. I know we have the 'wrongful arrest' coming up, but I'd still like to see all the points I've listed to be addressed.

I think perhaps Emmas "You know" could be explained by her head injury at the time, perhaps confusion or something, Max himself seemed confused by the comment.......

I am wondering though, I am sure it was explained and I've just forgotten, on New Years Eve, what was it exactly that made Emma suddenly understand that Jane Beale was involved? When she did that mad dash about the square and went through her paperwork in the Brannings kitchen?

It's a complete shambles and is the crux of EE problems. All these issues were discussed at length on the Who killed Lucy thread after the reveal. It's been given up on now as any interest in Lucy story has long since gone.

I wouldn't say any of those things are holes, just things that are so far unexplained.

Who was responsible for the "Rot In Hell" note? There were so many "clues" that led us all up the garden path!

What was the deal with Lucy and Ben going to Miami?

Thanks I think she also wrote stuff about her on social media about Lucy? Then she deleted it if I remember correctly.

It was because she gave Lauren an alibi for seeing her at the window, but Emma noticed in the video Jane's car was gone. It seemed to be triggered by the '5 minutes' comment which is a bit strange but I guess that was Emma realising how it would have been possible for Jane to move the body to the car quick enough without being caught? Not really wholly believable that Emma would have been sure it was Jane based on just that but I guess it was just to create a dramatic effect.

Exactly. The OP's list covers some of the major holes but there are dozens upon dozens more. The storyline was and is a joke.

I'm sure they'll release a "Who Killed Lucy Beale? The Complete Collection" DVD to clear up all the plot holes in time for next xmas...

How many times do I have to explain this to people?

Emma said "You know" to Max, because Max told Emma that the Beale's living room light was on when everyone was supposed to be in bed.

This was explained in the live episode.

Yep. And if any other soap did it people here would be out with their torches and pitchforks but because it's EE it get a pass.

Exactly.

A "hole" would be something that happened during the reveal that goes against what was explained earlier in the storyline. Everything in the OP is just unanswered questions that may or may not be revisited.

And guess what? In real life we don't always get the answers to questions on our mind.

Pretty much. I'm generally a big EE fan but I'm appalled at this excuse for a storyline.

Personally I think all the hits she received cons tributes and Bobby was just the Fianl blow and her head was already in pain fro. All the other hits that week alone and the stress she had. Bobby wouldn't of had to hit her hard tbh.

So max/Denise/Abi/Bobby/anyone else who hit her head all killed Lucy

Not all folks. There was a fairly robust reaction to the mess of a storyline but the majority of it was kept on the Who Killed Lucy Storyline thread. EE reaction is easily misunderstood or misrepresented on DS as you have a small cabal who start threads day after day usually on the same or very similar subjects. Their vitriol is aimed at the Carters and yes by and large they did give this mess of a storyline a pass. Just having a myriad of threads doesn't make the view more prevalent than those contained in a single thread.

That's the major unanswered question for me.

It was indeed, and Tamwar threw it in the bin. What im interested to know is why Shabnam took the note out of the bin and pocketed it? Is she into recycling or something?

Hang on the pitchforks were out here for EE more than any other up until the DTC era. . .
