What is it with EastEnders making the kids responsible for the whodunnits?

In the past five or six years, we've had:

- Lauren running over Max (she was about 13/14 at the time)
- Darren being the father of Heather's baby
- Dotty plotting to murder her grandmother Dot
- Ben killing Heather
- Bobby killing Lucy

Seriously who is going to be next?! Bert and Ernie teaming up to murder Alfie?

Heathers death wasn't a whodunit. Neither was Dotty planning to kill Dot. Darren being the father of Heather's baby doesnt count as a murder.

What are you actually asking?

I think he means murder or attempted murder attempt storylines

Darren being the father of Heather's baby was a whodunnit nonetheless, I didn't say I was just talking about murders.

I know the other two weren't whodunits, but I just think its unrealistic how the kids are always responsible for these big dramatic storylines all the time.

Maybe I worded the title incorrectly

Darren was 18. Hardly a kid.

The younger cast are I guess more "disposable" to a producers than a long standing older character.
