Why did she put a strand of Dinah's hair on his body?

Excellent climax to the series, looking forward to the next. All my misgivings from last week proved groundless - hooray
![]() However, I do have a few questions/quibbles ... How did Cathy get out of the car boot? Actually, how did she get in it ? Why did Laurie's bandmates just scarper without him, leaving a pot-filled haze behind them ? What was the stuff Cathy squirted down his throat ? |

Yeap really enjoyed that ... I didn´t see Broadchurch so I´m not drawing any comparisons, and for me it was a completely entertaining hour of TV with a great ending which ticked all the boxes for me and was very satisfying in terms of the storyline ... looking forward to next series!

Brilliant brilliant brilliant. Love this show so much. Such a long wait for next series but pleased there's going to be one. Now waiting for Happy Valley to fill the void.

I must say I loveeeeeeeeed the series and in particular three women were given prominent parts though I don’t understand why Viv didn’t keep Joy in the picture when her and Dinah started to close in on the culprit. In appreciate Joy kind of got the sergeants gig ahead Dinah because of Dinah’s incident in ep one but she was still capable and trustworthy.
Question was it established that Laurie did rape Cathy? I also enjoyed the way Dinah almost instantly took Cathy under her wing as a mother figure, I hope they find a realistic way to include Cathy in the second series, she is a good little actress |

I liked a lot of No Offence, but I found that all a bit bizarre. Quote:
I think it was probably so that any earlier trace evidence could be explained.
How did Joy know about it all - and how did Viv KNOW that she knew ? Quote:

It was just all a bit crazy. And as usual, I struggled to understand the sub-plot. Who was the Doherty guy? Why was he behaving like that? What happened to the Mum and kid? I feel like I'm meant to know these things, but I don't. |

I quite liked that Joy just put 2 and 2 together herself and in the end all three women appreciated and respected the part each other had played in the end senario and would support each other afterwards ... |

He died in a car accident last week, trying to get away from the police. That bit I did understand! That was good actually.
I just find the way they do the storytelling really strange. Had we seen Doherty before? Because they talked about him like we had, but I don't remember him. I *think* the wife died in childbirth on the way to the hospital? But it was hard to tell, because Doherty wasn't behaving like someone who'd just lost his wife and child. I also didn't understand the bit about them not going to A&E. ![]() Yes - I thought that too. Like we were supposed to know who he was

Yeah I kind of think it was one week where they could have done without the subplot and concerntrated on the main plot, but then again I suppose Viv had to go somewhere rather than stay at home. I also felt like we´d seen the Doherty guy before ... I think he has popped up in the series but I can`t remember where or why .... was he in the week where there was the rascist story???

Sean was the main killer and rapist, the one who was married to Viv. I think I've got that right, anyway. I expect someone's about to tell me I got that wrong as well. ![]() Another thing that baffled me tonight was how the lass's boyfriend recovered so fast from such a serious stabbing. Was some time meant to have passed? ![]() I don't know, just too many plot holes for me. What the hell did Viv plan to do? She decided to kill him but didn't know how? Creepy, and with some great performances, but just so confusing. |
