18 months after the first series. Thought they had dumped it. It will need to be as flippin' good as Columbo for that kind of wait.

I had noted this to watch tonight.......... but looking back at the thread I see that I only lasted 30 minutes of episode one of the first series before giving up

so I probably won't bother

When it first aired I watched the first 20 mins and gave up, but I heard good things so then watched it all a few months ago.

I'll have to catch this on +1, a bit of style over substance (plot) for me, but I began to have a thing for Joy's character as she developed.

Thoroughly enjoyable, I'd forgotten why the series is so good but remember now I did have to put the subtitles on though.

One thing I can't quite remember ... how much did Joy know about what happened to Vivs husband? Does she know Dinah killed him or just suspects or doesn't know that much? Also what happened to the girl with the baby's boyfriend?

Looking forward to the rest of the ride

I also wondered about her boyfriend (who was in BBC1's New Blood last summer - very good show by the way!)

I don't think Joy knows everything, just the main facts.

Thanks .... I'm vaguely remembering the boyfriend being attacked while they were hiding in a factory or something but I can't remember if he died and if he did the police reaction tonight was a bit delayed! Also was her friend in the last series, can't remember her? Sorry for all the questions, I should have re watched the last series

I'm going to have to watch again as I got really lost. Somehow, I still enjoyed it though! I think it's going to be better than Series 1.

I think I might re-watch too, mainly because it's fun and there's some bits of dialogue I must have missed, there are more zingers in there that need time to stretch out.

Edit: Anyone remember what series one did in viewing figures, just wondering...

Love the programme, but slightly struggled to follow what the hell was going on in the first episode tonight.

Can anyone smarter than me please summarise it for me?

I managed to recall/Google was happened to Viv's husband, but the whole gang storyline (i.e. most of the episode!) didn't sink in very well with me.

I love the character of Viv and the whole whackiness of this show. I was struggling to remember what happened in the last series, but it's slowly coming back to me now. I enjoyed it and will be watching next week.

I put subtitles on about half way thru and that really helped with the plot! I think I used subtitles for series one too, it's one of those shows where the clues are hidden in tiny pieces of dialogue so the fun in trying to work it out is in catching everything they say and do ...

I thought it took a couple of episodes to really get into its stride. I'd give it another go now if I was you because it's now exellent (IMO).
