I think I might re-watch too, mainly because it's fun and there's some bits of dialogue I must have missed, there are more zingers in there that need time to stretch out.
Edit: Anyone remember what series one did in viewing figures, just wondering... In the UK, the first episode launched with 2.5 million viewers, Channel 4's biggest midweek drama launch for more than three years. Although subsequent episodes lost overnight viewers, dropping as low as 1.2 million, the weekly consolidated series average remained at 2.5 million and finished 47% up on Channel 4's slot average. In France, the first episode of series 1 aired 29 February 2016 on France 2 and was watched by 5.46 million viewers, 20.4% of the TV audience. The next three episodes were shown back to back that evening and together achieved an average 4.6 million viewers, 20.4% of the TV audience. I wonder what the French made of it! |

I put subtitles on about half way thru and that really helped with the plot! I think I used subtitles for series one too, it's one of those shows where the clues are hidden in tiny pieces of dialogue so the fun in trying to work it out is in catching everything they say and do ...

I thought it took a couple of episodes to really get into its stride. I'd give it another go now if I was you because it's now exellent (IMO).
Must admit though that the bomb had me jumping out of the chair ! |

I watched the first 30 minutes again tonight but gave up.......... obviously it's just not for me
Must admit though that the bomb had me jumping out of the chair ! Really enjoyed it, like others have said the dialogue is really snappy along with the direction overall, but I just about managed to keep up with the plot. I've got Death In Paradise tonight for a less demanding watch

I loved it. It hit the ground running and kept up the pace. I just wish I had been able to see the first series again just before this. I will watch this again with subtitles just to see what I may have missed. The characters are just brilliant.

Love the programme, but slightly struggled to follow what the hell was going on in the first episode tonight.
Can anyone smarter than me please summarise it for me? ![]() I managed to recall/Google was happened to Viv's husband, but the whole gang storyline (i.e. most of the episode!) didn't sink in very well with me. If possible I would like a catch-up on what happened at the end of last series. I've tried looking - this might do a better job of jogging someone's memory than it did with me. There's also this link to the DS thread after the last episode (courtesy of Google!). |

Just got round to watching it and was not disappointed.
In my opinion it's the best thing on telly, just as it was when series 1 aired. Have to agree with others about subtitles though - I tend to use them a lot anyway, being a bit deaf, but the dialogue in No Offence is so sharp and snappy that they really are an essential accessory.

I agree that a catch up would have been a good idea for previous and especially new viewers.

As someone else said, about 5 minutes in and I was instantly reminded why I was watching a second series of this., just hope the plot doesn't go silly again. Anyone remember if Paul Ritter's character was bi-polar in series one? |
