It's weird, strange exaggerated characters, more miss than hit for me.

The term "comedy drama" always fills me with dread. It usually means that either the comedy or the drama will suffer, often both. This doesn't seem to be an exception, waste of a decent cast.

I gave up after 30 minutes........it lacks any originality, seems to be a copy of 100 other things that have been on TV
script writing by numbers |

That theme music is like a cross between "Journey of the sorcerer" by The Eagles and the Breaking Bad theme.

I enjoyed it and look forward to seeing it again next week.
I suppose we can't all like the same things. |

At times it looks as if it could have worked as a straight cop drama. But the comedy bits just get in the way, they're just not funny..not in my opinion anyway.

I had a lot of trouble understanding what people were saying! Not necessarily the accents, but speaking too fast, slurring words, muttering etc.

Seems like I'm the only one that likes it then.
Edit: jumped in just in time to see the bloke get his head run over by the coach, made me laugh anyway. Maybe watching Jimmy Carr in Standup put me in the mood. |

I've given up and gone back to the canal programme on bbc4. Who would of thought a silent boat trip could be so mesmerising? But no offence was just crap.

I enjoyed it, fast paced decent actors. Mildly funny and I cared that the girl was found so it had kept me interested.

I'll be back for more, see where it goes.
Scanlan's accent sounds a bit ropey to me, I'm a Londoner so no expert on where and why it's ropey. though. |

Enjoyable enough, certainly better than most of the dross on at the moment.
For a first episode it felt like the actors need to bed into their roles which may explain the somewhat laboured transitions between comic and dramatic. |

I haven't seen this, but from the description of it I thought it was the same comedy drama which is a cop show with some female media person working with the police, with James Nesbitt as the main cop in charge?
Is this the same show or something different? |

I enjoyed it. Bit of a shock when that guy got run over like that, was expecting the usual bouncing off the bonnet. There wasn't any real humour to my mind but like real life it wasn't all deadly serious.
