That performance (Like A Virgin) is amazing and got me thinking, I'd love to own this concert in that amazing quality. One of my favorites from her, very energetic-amazing performer.

Is there a reason why this hasn't been released officially?

Its criminal. The most iconic tour ever from a female. People still talk about it today and it doesn't even have an official dvd release. I would love for their to be one this year, as it is the 25th anniversary of the tour.

There was an exclusive laser disc released and I think part of the deal was that it remained exclusive to laser disc hence no video or DVD release. I believe it's the same for Janet Jackson's Rhythm Nation 1814 tour footage.

Plus it's been so long now that, as great as it was, it might not be commercially viable. Who knows though, never say never.

I'm kinda hoping that one day Warners will release a 'Like a Prayer' anniversary edition (much like MJ had for Bad) which would include the Blond Ambition tour. It's criminal that it's never been released.

Similarly, The Re-Invention tour. I love the tiny bits that are on her 'Secret' documentary, but I would love to see the full show in decent quality. The live CD was good, but it's been over 10 years!!

25 years since I saw this tour at Wembley. What a gig that was. The only duff note was the 'Dick Tracy' slot in the middle. Everything else was superb.

The full show of Re-invention is on you tube in decent quality. It was set for a dvd release but was cancelled for no reason. Thankfully, it leaked years later.

The Blond Ambition Tour was given exclusive rights to Pioneer who at the time were pushing their laser disc format. Pioneer still hold the rights so any future release would currently involve them.
The Reinvention Tour is also caught up in a dispute. It was filmed in Lisbon Portugal for broadcast and release. CBS were in the middle of an exclusive 10 million deal but this apparently fell through due to disagreements between CBS on how it was to be screened I believe the plug was pulled. The concert was fully recorded however due to the breakdown on the broadcasting deal their was then a disputes between the filming company and WB of breach of contract. So as far as I know it's also caught up in a legal battle.
The version on You Tube and floating around online was from the live video feed displayed on the screens at either side of the staging rather than a professionally shot and edited version.
Blond Ambition there are a few broadcast versions floating about and a dodgy German release of the Houston Texas show.
It would be nice to get a fully restored original and edited version of Blond Ambition.

I think if Blonde ambition ever got a reason, it should be done in a re-release of truth or dare. There is hours of unseen footage of Truth or dare sitting somewhere. Add an extra 30-60 minutes, call it a director's cut, add blond ambition tour and there you go. You have a must have christmas present.

That sounds amazing. Here is all my money, please make it happen.

Why on earth aren't the Virgin tour and Who's That Girl tour on DVD also? I have them both on video but the quality is deteriorating and it would be great to have them digitally restored and put on DVD. I have the Girlie Show tour DVD but the picture quality isn't that great. That's still my favourite Madonna tour, The Girlie Show. It was magical.

Who's that Girl tour is released on DVD under the title Madonna Ciao Italia- live from Italy. I never understood the reason why it wasn't released released as Who's that Girl Tour. It might have something to do with not confusing with the film. VHS format was in its boom years and companies really worried about negative perception or confusion over similar named products. The film had bombed at the box office ( although I still think it was a great fun movie) so I think it was to distance itself from it so as not to lose sales.
