He says this on the day of a surprised return from Stacey's past. If he returns tonight all my faith in DTC will be restored

If anything, it rules him out .

It would be good to see him back permanently really, being that Stacey's got virtually nobody in the family category left on the Square now since Jean left for Brighton - apart from a presently messed up Kat and old Mo. It would now be a good time for Sean to return after nearly 7 years of unexplained absence really, maybe to rekindle matters with free agent Roxy too (unless Charlie has anything to do with it). All we have in his macho young man like genre now is arguably Lee Carter, discounting old warhorses such as Phil Mitchell and now Buster!

On a slightly different note but similarly themed, didn't Ryan (Neil McDermott) appear briefly to see Whitney in the small recreational park on the bench then disappear again in one episode sometime late on last year - or did I imagine it??

Sean is top of my list of who I would like to return, even for one episode it would be so good to see him and Stacey together again.

Isn't he currently filming a new us show Frankenstein so surely he'd be too busy.

There's been so much talk in recent (and not so recent!) times as to when would be a good time for Sean to return to the Square in some way, shape or form - but it is always countered by the fact that he's up to his neck in work in the States these days! One to believe when I see it. Had B.Kirkwood still been at the helm it would probably be another dreaded re-cast of the character!!

Never understood the liking for this character. I found him totally repellent.

He was messed up psychologically. However he was always laughing at Phil which was enjoyable . I'd like to see him beat Dean to a pulp

yes he did with a new hairdo i thought that scene was going to be like Kathy, poping up as a tease and full scale return later on in the year, but alas nothing came of it! i wouldnt be surprised if he returned tonight

I'd love it. Sean is unquestionably one of my favourite EE characters ever!

Dean Gaffney (Robbie Jackson), Nina Wadia (Zainab Masood), Charlie Brooks (Janine Butcher) and Tracy-Ann Oberman (Chrissie Watts) also stated they'd like to return. If DTC hasn't taken the chance and asked them back, what makes you think he'd ask Robert Somethingsky back?

Charlie Brooks has said she would return but not yet. So it's not the case of DTC not asking her, it's the case of Charlie doesn't want to return yet. Plus she is doing rather well in theatre anyway. She's working more than she did when she left the first time.

He finished filming the pilot about a week or so ago. He's just waiting now to be told whether it will become a series or not.

Why hasn't Sean's whereabouts ever been explained since he left in 2009, walking into the distance? Stacey and Jean didn't say a word about him since he left despite one being his sister and the other his mum.

Does Sean know he's an uncle? Or that his one time father in law raped his sister, she killed him, went on the run and spent time in prison? Or do we think Stacey met him while was away from EE?

Janine will definitely be back in several years. I predict she'll buy out the Carters for the Vic.
