And that is something we have never consciously done before.

We just could t take any more Kat wallowing and Kat misery. The scenes at the start when she was in the convent were just excruciating. The overacting, the histrionics, the behaviour that someone just would not do.

We all know what happened to Kat in the past. It has been explored over and over and over again for almost 15 years. I'm not entirely unsympathetic to her character (even though she is very often utterly vile)but more so I'm angered by the grotesquely inept writing and direction used in the programme to batter us all over the head over and over again about Kat.

I am utterly sick of it. I have had enough. It will be some time before I watch Eastenders again, and hopefully Kat and her loathsome sidekick played by Shane Ritchie will be long gone.

It was unbearable wasn't it.
I could hear my dad demanding I change the channel as he couldn't stand Kat's wailing and he wasn't even in the same room

Honestly though I'm sick of people defending this show, its getting just as had as it was under Birkwood (almost) . however , I'm sticking with it as I can't wait for Kathy's return !
If it was not for her I wouldn't have stopped watching it .

She's a great actress but the character put me off the soap about five years ago - think of all that time I've saved!

I tuned in for live week and was blown away by the all-live episode in particular, hung around for the aftermath, but something drove me away again...yes she's still at it the miserable selfish so'n'so!

The only thing that annoys me is the fact that the Stacey's key and Zoe's twin storylines will probably go MIA for the next few weeks.

It was the best episode since Live Week, and tbh my family always hates Kat and Alfie stuff but were bowled over by Jessie Wallace's amazing performance in last night's episode.

This! Along with Adam Woodyatt during the lives Jessie Wallace pulled out one of the strongest Eastenders performances in its 30 year history last night.

It was an amazing episode - I could've watched an hour of it happily. It's a shame if people missed out on it - but at least there are other soaps out there which are a little more light-hearted for people if they don't like emotive stuff.

You missed a great episode. It was a credit to those people out there who have been in the same shoes at Kat.

People are quick to call Kat miserable and a slapper. But when you have been raped by your uncle, told it was a silly mistake and made to give birth to a child and then lie to say it was your sister, then maybe people on here won't be so bloody quick to roll their eyes at an issue like this and why Kat is the way she is.

I had tears in my eyes at what a truly honest gutsy performance Jessie delivered.

I'm not a Kat fan and JW's overacting regularly makes me cringe. I loved last night's episode though - just the whole different feel to it. It's nice to have that off centre feel to an episode every so often.

Well that sounds like a lie, I doubt your dad was even bothered by it at all.

'Outstanding'

People sure do love to blow hot air up rear ends on this forum.

If they were such outstanding actors, they wouldn't staring in an average soap opera for how many odd years and would have made a bigger break.

Wow you and your wife live some sad life, you do realise what Kat is going through is quite common in the real world, your basically disrespecting every other person who has gone through this. You think being molested is something you can just get over, it stays with you for your whole life until you face it head on and put it to rest once and for all which is exactly what she has just done.

Any actor will tell you that being a soap actor is so much more harder than a "real" actor, look at all the Hollywood actors and actors in general on TV and films, a lot of them are worse actors than that on Eastenders and other soaps, you could be a world class actor don't mean to say your gonna make it big, just like singers, you could be the best there is to offer don't mean to say your gonna succeed

Trying your best to troll?

Acting in a soaps is much harder then acting in a hollywood film because

1) You spend 6-8 Weeks on set a hollywood film

2) Soap actors spend endless hours almost everyday of the week without rest they wake up go to work for the whole day and leave at night to go to bed to repeat the next day
