could he be the new disabled or transgender character?

in the instance of the baby being disabled, maybe that why viv had him taken away, as she didnt think the family would cope?

Could be....Might not be

But probably already linked to someone on the square or someone we have met before

Interesting, I too wondered if he had an illness or disability & that was why he was given away as she thought the family wouldn't cope. I guess we'll have to wait & see

The disabled angle is very possible - risks are increased with inbred children. The closer the relation between the parents, the higher the risk. Both of them being perfectly fine is for me, another point that seems unrealistic.

The way Viv has been portrayed by Kat over the years makes her seem hard faced enough to "ditch the disabled kid" and just take Zoe home. Especially since to the world, she was to be the mother to Kat's child(ren).

Which makes me think it could be Sean. Why would they keep one and ditch the other? At least Sean was still kept in the family.

Why?

In April 2002, the Journal of Genetic Counselling published a paper which judged the rates of birth or genetic abnormalities in children born to closely related parents, without a history of inbreeding in the family, was about 3%. That's the same rate as in children born to mothers over 40.

Given what we know - Kat is not the product of generations of inbreeding and there are no genetic abnormalities within the Slater family, there is no more reason to suspect that Zoe's twin is disabled anymore than Bert or Ernie.

Those saying its maybe Sean I just can't see them letting Stacey's mum keep that a secret. Jean is in no mental state most of the time to keep something like that quiet and I just can't see the family trusting her with a secret so big as that!

It cold be that he ended up being fostered by Claudette, disabled or not. He could well have been a sickly child that recovered and is fine now and living in Ireland.

Stacey wasn't always bipolar. Jean may not have developed the condition by 1984.

I love how Claudette is mentioned in every thread which mentions kids in care. There are other foster mothers in the world.

I don't think Kat's son is a present or future character (unless it's Sean and he's in Ireland) because what's the point of Kat and Alfie leaving for Ireland if her child is going to be in the square? Past spin-offs failed miserably and they're all about viewing figures and whatnot so I think the Ireland story will be about Kat finding her son. That's definitely something that current EE viewers will want to watch as well as past viewers who watched when Zoe was in it but stopped watching after.
