does any one else find it annoying and distracting, when the camera switches to Ant and Dec, to see their reactions, taking the spotlight of the performer?
Is there any need for this
I found it especially annoying when they did it during Signatures audition way back when.
They could have just let the act play out in full but of course the producers believe people are too stupid to get it.
Now it's done all the time and whilst I do still like Ant & Dec, they shouldn't be involved in the audition programmes and should stick to what they do best in my opinion which is presenting the live shows.

But that would go against the entire point of BGT. It is supposed to be a light-hearted, feel good show.
It's part and parcel of the "..Got Talent" format to switch to the backstage personalities for reaction shots. Happens all over the world on every version of the show.

I think that's part of the show. The same thing happens on America's Got Talent as well. Why just mention them? The camera shows the reaction of the judges and the audience. Why haven't you said anything about the judges or the audience?
I'm a fan of Ant and Dec and went to see them last year when they did their Take Away arena tour and they were great.
However, I have to admit that there is far too much of them on this year's BGT. I realise they are only doing what is scripted for them but they seem to have been on stage longer than some of the acts this year.
