Massive week coming up.
Any chance of Sanchez being back do we know?
ODL mentioned that he may be back 'next week' on the 5th, so I'm taking that as a 'no'. We can do with him although we're not as desperate as usual, big big test indeed though.

Maybe old news to some, but just read Freddie has joined us as a youth team coach U14 and U15. I like to see our invincibles coming back to us in a mentor/teaching capacity.

Always been something I've liked about Wenger.
He always looks after the players who've served him well, once they have retired and are trying to make their way in coaching/ management.

Debuchy likely to leave this month according to AW. Monreal about to sign a new contract. I like Monreal to be honest.

Listened to a surprisingly good interview by Paul Merson of Tony Adams over Xmas. They talked about how TH14 got to do his coaching badges at Arsenal. Apparently he didn't ask by just turned up one day and joined in. Apparently AW is very open to that sort of thing.

Best LB in the league for me. Massively improved.
Gibbs is more likely to get a game for England than for us now.

Playing CB a few occasions last season and season before has improved his defensive ability.

Rarely see him get beaten 1v1 as well.

No Sanchez on Wed, which is a massive loss, according to ODL, he may be back fro the Stroke game. Luckily, Pool seem to have their own injury worries, more so than us. We need a win there to remain top (or if Everton can do us a favour, increase the lead on City). Leicester and/or Spuds may well lose ground on us too, if we win.

Rosicky's back in full training as well, he'd be an excellent player to bring in when we need to control the game.

Two tricky away games and one home against Chelsea coming up, let's hope that we can turn up for these. I'd probably take two wins, one loss from these if I'm brutally honest...

We're not missing Sanchez as much as I expected tbh mainly due to Campbell playing very well and keeping the Ox out of the team. Would be good to get him back soon though.

Stoke game will be the toughest based on previous games there. Might be worth playing 2 DMs in that game or asking Ramsey to be a bit more disciplined than usual the way he played against City.

7 points out of 9 and giving Chelsea a good thrashing at home would be awesome!

Yep, looks like we can progress quite easily, should be an wasy home win. A 3rd FA Cup would be nice but we should focus on the league, imo.

Agree that we've not missed Sanchez as much and that Campbell's been good. Still feel we should try and get better players than him but if he continues to improve there's no need really.

We've got players like Rosicky back, and if we have our normal end of season spurt, we can do it. Question is whether we can deal with the added pressure now that it's a title chase, rather than a race for 4th.

Also, we got the FA Cup and CL to deal with. Hopefully, we'll sign that Mohamed bloke and maybe add some quality as well.

Burnley are 5th in the Championship and don't forget were in the PL last season. Saying that, we're at home and as long as we don't underestimate them we should have too much for them.

Elneny should be signed hopefully by the end of the week and Rabiot should add extra quality if we get him.

Re the midweek game vs the Scousers, they have both their first choice CBs missing and Sakho has only come back from injury. Coutinho is out injured and we've dealt with the threat from Benteke really well in the past. Anything less than 3 points will be disappointing.

Personally, I think that we can yes. While they shouldn't be underestimated, we should have more than enough quality to beat them.

IIRC, we played a fairly weak team for the Sheffield game, mainly due to injuries. I think that now that we've got a decent amount of 1st team players back, we'll be better equipped.

1-1. This could be a high scoring one again. I'm trying to be positive as we've scored with our first attack.

Need to pass the ball better to counter Liverpool's pressing.

we have to live with them playing like this. They can't keep this up for 93 mins.

another wonder goal against us. We look awful though, letting them just press us out of existence.
