Punditry just hit an all time low on MOTD.

'Vardy has every right to go down'

And yet they can say

'I don't like Ramsey rolling around there' for the tackle that almost broke his leg in half.

The agenda is against us is unreal.
Probs Lineker telling the boys to say this cause his team lost. Motd is so biased against us , kind of why i've stopped watching.

The ref had a total mare, bet they did not mention it.

Great win today against Leicester City but Can Arsenal still win the title when your still in the FA Cup and the Champions League and plus you definitely need to beat Man United

We all feel that we are out the CL anyway, Fa cup could be tricky but i think we could handle it plus the league. If Arsenal showed passion that Spuds and Lecister than i would say we could win it while in all 3. Guess with us its which side turns up on the day.

Agree with most of the post especially the bit in bold which is a frustrating part of Arsenal (well, apart from Wenger )

Well that was real edge of the seat stuff. Some awful performances out there. Ramsey, Alexis and Ox the worst of the lot. Still its the win that counts and well pleased for Wellbeck. I hope this really can spark a proper run now.

We will hopefully have Cazorla back soon, and I would like to see Ramsey benched. With Wellbeck fit (for now), I'd start Walcott on the right more often. If not him, Campbell should be ahead of Ox. I think he and Walcott are much more effective than Ox, who is probably better as an impact player anyway. I think that ODL has resisted starting Walcott to have a 'striker' on the bench and hopefully, this will be Wellbeck from now onwards.

Great result yesterday, still got a sore throat from what can only be described as the primal roar that founds its way out when Wellbeck hit the winner. The games vs Barca should be good for the neutral, but I'm dreading them, tbh. They'll take up a lot of energy, which is something we can do without. Luckily, we're not expeced to have any kind of result, so morale's not likely to be dented.

With a full team, we have a great chance of winning the EPL. It's such a shame that we've already needlessly dropped so many points, we could have been clear by now not having to rely on other results. We need a win or two from the away games in Manchester and in the swamp.

I wouldn't be so quick to write off Man City just yet. Am assuming they aren't in your three horse race. They are still in this title race, just about. Things can change very quickly.
True, but I think two successive home losses to two of their title rivals has really dented their chances and I can't see them overtaking all three teams above them somehow. There's still a long way to go in this title race, but for me personally I struggle to see a City win from here.

Wasn't around in 1971, but this current team isn't a patch on 1998 or 2002.

I was around! They weren't as good but they had a hell of a team spirit.

think what worries me is that we don't score enough goals. We aren't creating much either. Very predictable. Our strikers aren't proficient and there's v little coming from midfield, and goals from corners are hen's teeth jobs.
I think we're nearly 20 (?) goals down from the same point last season.

If only it was that easy to predict the outcome of football matches! So many vagaries to contend with. I'll go along with the old adage of one game at a time.

I just hope we don't get massacred by Barcelona. Wenger's law says it's will take 3 games to get it out of our system by which time the title could be lost.

I'd agree about not scoring enough goals. First half yesterday loads of possession and no shots on target. Leicester had by far the best chances. We don't score enough because we don't create enough chances. Walcott's goal was our first attempt on target. It's very hard work for us at the moment.

We do like to pass it to death still around the oppo's area. At least yesterday, we got wide and did put in a fair few crosses. And the corners were getting beyond the first man and over 6ft high for a change . When we do shoot it's more often than not quite woeful. Still, it's worth taking a few more shots, get a lucky deflection, the keeper parries it, and so on. Sometime you have to play to the percentages rather than trying to pass it into the net. Welbeck will give us a few more options and perhaps rest Giroud now and again. With Cazorla hopefully not too far away then we have a decent chance.

Still not quite sure what the Ox brings to the party these days. There's no doubting his ability but his concentrations levels are not good and his passing isn't always the best. I thought he might relish going into the middle after Walcott came on but I don't know, he didn't make a big impression, not for me anyway.

You could well be right - heavy defeats always knock the stuffing out of us.

Maybe we'll do the unthinkable and actually win

That could take the stuffing out of our title bid too. It's going to take discipline and a herculean effort to beat Barca over two legs. If we somehow win, it won't be without battle scars.

We're always underdogs against Barca, but this Barca team is probably the best we've played. Messi, Neymar and especially Suarez at the moment are scoring for fun. Iniesta and Busquets playing very well too. If our players swallow their egos and realise just what underdogs they are, it takes the pressure off and makes it easier to deal with defeat. Defeats like Monaco, where you could/should have won are far harder to deal with. If you are outclassed, well, you're outclassed. No shame in that. If they play as well as they can, we will be outclassed.

We still don't have a settled XI. Too many players are looking for form and not cementing their place in their team otherwise we would have given Barca a good game I reckon.

Saying that a win and a clean sheet at home would give us some hope. Easier said than done against this Barca side.

Just in:

Mike Dean to referee Arsenal v Hull City in FA Cup 5th Round.

Or should I say, Spurs to referee Arsenal v Hull City.

Wonder if he'll wear a Hull jersey?
