obviously not expecting to win, but when you have good chances to score and don't because of the same lame average players, you can only get pissed off.but as long as wenger stays it will never be any different
Lets be honest from the moment we did not sign good players in the summer, we were always going to struggle. Getting pissed, is just a wasted emotion tbh. I just had no expectancy in this game or the whole tie.

Calamity Flamini struck again!

I thought we played well for long periods of the game and could have scored if we took the chances we got. Our own fault for this.

The league is more realistic, we had no chance.

You can not compare us to Murray its silly to do. We all knew once we drew Barca we had no chance. Just look at the run they are on and how we have played it was always going to go this way. Our squad is so poor in comparison, where as Murray is as good as the best he plays with. Two different sports and mentality's.
Don't feed the troll Spidey.

We will never win CL under Le Fool, anyone with an ounce of sense knows that. I don't think any of us are really upset with the result tonight, we knew we weren't going to win - it's just frustration really and same old, same old, same old..........

Giroud was awful. How we need a top striker.

Let's forget the CL and concentrate on the PL/FA Cup. I didnt expect a win against Barca at all TBH.

United fan here, but thought you were unlucky tonight.

Matched Barca for the majority of the game. Just a silly defensive error near the byline with three guys sliding in needlessly, leaving Barcelona so much space to stroll up to the penalty box.

Yeah Flamini could have done better but it was a blatant Messi dive for the penalty.

Barcelona were not very impressive and I thought Arsenal did more with their possession but Barca always seem to be jammy. The pressing and energy in the team was great.

The tie is over but it was not the whitewash people were expecting.

Don't know what's happened to the Ox this season but he's been generally awful for most of it. Sloppy passing, always offside, poor decision making and so on.

Then there's Wilshere, will we ever get a full season or near as damn it out of him? He's a smashing lad and all that but if he's not playing then I am not sure if we can really keep paying him big wages for very little in return.

Walcott is another player who should be at his peak and scoring for fun but he's gone a bit tom tit lately.

Dive? It was a stonewaller.

Did anyone see that bit with Luis Enrique and Pique i think Enrique ordered him to get booked deliberately so he misses the next leg but then he can play in the next round

He played for it by sticking his leg back in and going over.

That to me is diving. Cheating, if you will.

But then their side is full of cheats. Nothing new.

Ramsey has gone off the boil too, so much for this english core.

Yeah we will not win the Cl not just with Wenger but this board. We need to spend deep to beat the best. We need a owner who is ambitious, maybe why Guardiola did not come. Any manager with ambition would think twice before taking this job, under this board etc.

Of course. That's exactly why I suggested yesterday we shouldn't bother risking any of our first team players in a match we had very little chance of getting anything out of and save them all for Sunday.

Having said all that, past experience with this team and manager makes me believe we'll find some way to lose.

Agreed. He looked bewildered at some point.

Anyway, I for one, am not upset about the result. Didn't expect anything from it. The focus now is on Sunday. Let's see what we can do in the league.

Not too disappointed with the result or performance. We do have the same old problem in defence. I'm getting really concerned with our inability to take whatever chances we do get. I don't think any of our strikers can be relied on to take a chance when it really, really matters.

Flamini still getting playing time amazes me but don't forget the part BFG played in that too.

Poor transitions, finishing and decision making - defensively and offensively cost us.

Back when we beat Bayern we played Walcott up front and Cazorla in midfield which helped us on the counter. Last night we were woeful when changing from defence to attack not to mention not maintaining our concentration defensively for 90 minutes.

Barca didn't have to play amazingly well to beat us and that's frustrating.

Giroud and Ox played worse.

Alexis had a better game than of late but still not at his best.
