Poor transitions, finishing and decision making - defensively and offensively cost us.
Back when we beat Bayern we played Walcott up front and Cazorla in midfield which helped us on the counter. Last night we were woeful when changing from defence to attack not to mention not maintaining our concentration defensively for 90 minutes. Barca didn't have to play amazingly well to beat us and that's frustrating. http://www.espnfc.com/blog/the-match...ssi-makes-sure |

We deffo miss Santi, Ramsey is better on the right than in the middle. If Barca want Ramsey and give us silly money, we should take it.
Giroud gets shown up against quality opposition, Mertesacker is past it and Walcott is not the player everyone expected him to be by now. Lots of problems to sort out but luckily we still might be able to win the PL doing enough to scrape wins with Ozil and Alexis creating chances. |

Can't rely on Wilshere to be available for any length of time sadly. Ramsey seems to have been more and more a one season wonder. Lost his shooting boots. I doubt we will do enough in the Summer transfer window either. Worth bearing in mind the last three major players we have signed pretty much fell in to our laps rather than a big change in our policy.
Flamini, Arteta, Rosicky need to go. I'm more worried that instead Ozil, Alexis etc may just have had enough. Also talk Bellerin is wanted in Spain. |

Also why wasn't Elneny on the bench instead of Flamini?! Why did we buy him in the first place if we Wenger will only play him in the FA Cup?

Wasn't surprised at the loss or the manner in which it occurred, I place a wager on Barcelona on minus 1 an felt a little dirty collecting it.
Re the game, not many of the players delivered their best or anyway near their best in my opinion, Bellerin played well as did Cech and Kos but a lot of the others were poor. Ramsey and Giroud had stinkers, and once again if we had Higuain leading our attack we'd have had at least 1 goal to our name last night. Another point is that Barca can mix up their play so much better than us, they can play the tip-tap style but also some long balls and wing play too as well as a very impressive counter attack. They can also be a bit more dirty when required too. Was good seeing Koeman in the studio, I'm a big fan of his and wouldn't mind him taking over from Wenger. |

Agreed, he was spot on with his pre match thoughts on how we should set up and wasn't phased by hyping up MSN compared to Rio and Wrighty.

So can't see him taking over, if as expected Arsene basically chooses his successor.
Wenger has too much power, and I believe he will definitely choose our new manager and then move upstairs which will be the wrong thing for the club to let happen. What am I talking about, in his mind Wenger is the club - what he says goes and the Board don't seem to want to do diddly squat about it. |

Koeman has had Wenger's number for years, going back to Ajax in 2003 when his young team set-up for two draws, marked Henry out of both games and got the result they wanted.

We shouldn't forget that continually cocking up the group stages doesn't help our cause either.

So the replay is on March 9th. BT Sport are showing it live. Not sure how that squares with the UEFA CL games being played too but I care not.

7pm kick off too. I think it's Tuesday 8th March not the 9th.

Martial injured himself in the Manu warm up and is out of there game tonight...surely we won't have a better chance this Sunday?

Which reminds me, on the radio they were saying Ox has suspected knee and ankle damage.

Think I would happily snap up Ancelotti as first choice to succeed Dear Leader. Him or Simeone please.

Hasn't Wenger been saying in the last few months how he would not choose his successor. Maybe it could be lies but i do not think he 'd have too much say. Id say go for Simone or De Boer.
Still, we've got good old Arsene for the foreseeable future, so many reasons to be happy. ![]() So to Sunday, even though it was against poor opposition yesterday, the Utd youngsters looked good. Can we up our game, as that win will have given them a bit of confidence. |

Could we even trust the Board to make the right decision?
