Agree with this. Yes you could say the invincibles were born a few years too late to dominate. Imo once the money men came in he knew he had no chance to dominate. Thus is where he became stubborn and decided he could try and beat them his way, but has failed.

Yes he may go down as our best ever. But may also go down as most hated.

Hated is a bit strong I think. The most frustrating I would say. I would never hate him. The board has to take some flak too for allowing things to get stale and letting things just drift along merrily.

Yeah, I wouldnt say hated but its so annoying when we see the same crap and silly mistakes year after year. It's like theres no self belief at all. We dont deserve to win the league. Fair play to Leicester.

Fair plays hated maybe too strong. I guess frustrated is better. Oh the board defo have to take flack. One or the other need to go. Something has to change or fans need to walk.

For me, the board set the agenda. If they were ambitious, Wenger would've left years ago and Guardiola or an upcoming manager would've taken up the reigns.

As it is, they are happy with Wenger because he does the bare minimum and is subservient. It comes from Kroneke and runs through the whole club. As long as he finishes fourth, he won't be called into account because football to them is about making money.

You can say if the players want to win the title, but does Wenger? I think he's set in his ways, he wouldn't kick and scream if Arsenal don't win trophies, but would if they finished fifth or sixth. Modern football in a nutshell.

Wenger will go in the coming years. Kroneke won't. So while a change of manager will be great in the short term, I worry about the club's future in the long term. Will Kroneke allow the club to make the next step and take a risk? Could do with a Dein on the board.

Do you think the board are not ambitious enough and are happy to win the FA Cup and qualify for the Champions League every year

Frankly I'd call anyone who "hates" him an absolute idiot. He's comfortably our best ever manager and also one of the few genuinely decent - if most stubborn - men in football.

You can find the current situation utterly frustrating and desperately want him to leave without forgetting that. That's where I'm at, anyway. Even more so after yet another groundhog week where our two most regular achilles heels have done for us in both the competitions that matter.

Here's to 4th place and an FA Cup. Again.

Fail to beat Swansea and he will say it's a hangover from today's game. And so on it goes.

Not even holding out hope for the FA Cup sadly. At least Ozil got a goal and an assist so the PL record is back on for him.

Are there any good young players coming through as Man United seem to have few that are very talented

We have 6 'winnable' home games...Swansea, West Brom, Watford, Palace, Norwich and Villa. Very 5 tricky away's...TH, Everton, West Ham, Sunderland and Man City

I just don't see us doing it.
Goodwin

Then again...just seen the fixtures for Leicester and there are a few banana skins there...Palace, Watford and Sunderland away for example then the last 3 games are Man Utd away, Everton home and Chelsea away.

TH have still West Ham, Liverpool, Stoke and Chelsea away and Man Utd at home.

It's turning out to to be one of the best title races in years with no clear favourites and no team running away with it.

Really frustrated at today's result, best chance to beat them in years and we blow it. Just knew Rashford would score against us, it was written wasn't it? Combined with Spurs winning today and Leicester extending their lead at the top, it's been a horrible weekend. Just can't see us winning the league now and hope Leicester do.

I'm trying hard not to think about who will win it because this has been a strange season. Things can change quickly. Wouldn't even write off City.

But Arsenal don't look like deserved champions. At this point, Spurs and Leicester do. Arsenal are Arsenal, moments of brilliance quickly followed by despair.

Leicester have been the most consistent team so I'm rooting for them.

Agree, we're not winning this. Today above all proved there's something fundamental missing from the squad. All our remaining home games are winnable, but would anyone really be surprised if we fail to break down Swansea in midweek? Or Pulis' West Brom? Or the surprisingly resilient Watford?

Not to mention the horror run of away games we have left. Spurs away next week will obviously be the biggest test, but I think at this point you can rest safely assured we'll bottle it again.

Totally agree. You would be a brave person to stake a pile of money on it. Things can change around very quickly. And yes, City are still in this race, just. We are not playing well, that's the worrying thing. It would be typical Arsenal not to beat Swansea but win on Saturday.

The pressure to win just gets cranked up even more following a loss. So it will be nerve jangling on Wednesday. Swansea have a decent record at our place too.

Tbh i think the likes of Dein, Hillwood, Nina Bracewell- Smith have to take some blame. These people quick to sell up or put their ambiotions ahead of the club has contributed to this. Fizman i guess wanted the money for his family's security so you could understand his. The rest should have made sure that before they sold the club would come first. None did, Dein only care about being Chairman and instead of waiting a few years he sulked and left. This guy people say we need.

Good analysis on MOTD regarding Walcott by Wrighty. He's neither one or the other, I mean a winger or a c/f. He's not making the runs expected of him and it could be argued we are not playing to his strength, his pace. Shearer questioning his development, like many others I guess. Compare the 18 year old Rashford who caused us problems with his intelligent running off the ball as well the two well taken goals, then you see how Walcott compared then you would be forgiven for thinking Walcott was the rookie 18 year old.

Glad Ian Wright also challenged the post match comments about the desire and commitment.

Finally, Gabriel was awful for both goals. He may be quicker than Mertesacker but positionally he's all over the place. I suspect there will be a recall for the BFG against Swansea.

Is Gabriel progressing well with his English? Maybe he couldnt fully understand what people are saying?

If you are good enough you are good enough. Language should not be an issue. Maybe we are being harsh, and it is down to him not having enough game time. Had He and Kos been our no 1 Paring from day 1 our season may have been better.

I think you're right Goodwin. The Board have let it go stale, for the fans anyway, but he's still making them money for the time being anyway. Maybe when it all finally goes tits up if we don't make CL football for a few seasons he might decide to go himself. Meanwhile us fans have to 'suffer' watching our noisy neighbours down the road usurping us.

Absolutely, in a nutshell. The FA cups, as great as they were, kept the fans quiet and off their backs.

I don't buy that Grim. I saw Aguero give an interview on TV the other day, in his own language with subtitles for us. He's been here for years and the lack of Englidh doesn't seem to be stopping him.
