I'm kind of past caring tbh. What will be will be. Am looking forward to Claude's rant on Arsenal Fan TV after this debacle.

Do think it is because most of the players in the squad have not got the experience of winning a title

Our league form since we beat Man City has been shocking...L W W D D L D W W L L
15 points out of a poss 33. No team has won the title losing more than 6 games (I mean in recent times). The bizarre thing is we can still win it. It's really win or bust for the NLD. Explain this one then Mr Manager!!! |

The seed was sown to a certain extent with the awful opener against West Ham. They thought they were the real deal after beating Chelsea in the shield. Didn't take the WH game seriously thinking they just had to turn up. Ditto against WBA, Soton home and away, Norwich and even games against Zagreb and Olympiakos. Then Hull in the cup and now tonight. Time after time after time the same thing keeps happening.
We are being handed the title on a silver platter. Time after time we are getting on the cock up train. He'll say we were over anxious after the Utd game. Can't fault the spirit but lack of concentration has cost us. I can't explain how we could lose a game like that. |

Just to put the cherry on the cake. It seems Cech has pulled his hamstring.

Cech has supposedly done his hamstring in when he went up for the corner at the end.

"I believe we were really unlucky with our finishing and some decisions today. They had two shots on target and two goals.
"We stopped playing before the first goal because there was a foul on Mesut Ozil. There were hands around his neck and it should have been a free-kick for us. "We need to bounce-back very quickly now. "Petr Cech is injured. I think it will keep him out of the game against Tottenham at the weekend. But I have full-confidence in David Ospina." |

I'm not saying the Swansea defeat was his fault..........the players made basic errors, but what does he say about it? Says they were unlucky and sweeps it under the carpet. Fans have finally cottoned on that the season tickets aren't worth it. Place is far too toxic and I would be surprised if Wenger stays on past 2017. |

The media really need to go for the jugular next presser. They were pussyfooting around far too much with the questions pre match.
Just got in and seen the result. Not surprised, just fed up. Please just go Wenger, do the decent thing. |

It is strange because around about this time Arsenal usually go on a run and always managed to get the fourth champions league spot But when Arsenal are trying to win the title then it is a different ball game

Lose the NLD and he should be sacked. Put Bould in charge until the end of the season and get Simeone or Koeman in.
His excuses for the first goal are pathetic. All footballers know to play to the whistle. Shame it had to come to this. He really should have left on a high after the consecutive FA Cup win last season. |

Agree with this. It will not happen though.
Like you said if we were going for 4th we'd be winning all these games now. |

Historically we lose these derby matches and then go on really good runs.
Putting things in perspective, the performance wasn't bad. Sunday was terrible, but they created plenty of chances tonight. Problem was they never took them as per. Arsenal worked hard for their goals, Swansea didn't. Two schoolboy errors. This happens every season under Wenger, when it rains it poor. I have no doubt he can turn it around. Problem is, chances of the title are over. Fourth isn't good enough and his excuses are wearing thin. The board will say he's done a great job, but would Ozil and Sanchez agree? He doesn't get the maximum out of his players anymore. They cannot be expected to last a season injury free, let alone perform throughout. When was the last time Wilshere played? Why is Arteta captain? Why is Rosicky still around? What has happened to Ramsey? So many questions. Giroud is not good enough. Works hard, puts in a shift.....so what? I'd be angry if he didn't. A proper striker would take chances and I'm certain Arsenal would bottle it less often. Defence remains a shambles, cannot handle pressure....same old. An team in Wenger's image. Brilliant on their day, which is few and far between. Very tired, old, and stale. Same problems creeping up, do enough to mask problems. |

In a derby all form goes out the window. Spuds losing today will put a bit of pressure on them as well. Can see it being a draw or a narrow spuds win.

Disappointing night to say the least. Started off great and deservedly took the lead but then just seemed to take our foot off the gas for some reason. Not sure I can be bothered to dissect it much further other than to say the air of inevitability about us not scoring anymore and them winning seemed to grow throughout the evening. Why he took off Cambell only he knows...Oh well roll on Saturday lol
