Didn't Ramsey warm up properly? Losing count of all these injuries.

Giroooooo! Surely we can hold out now. Flamini gets his contracts because he's willing to fill in in any position. Not sure he's worse at RB than Chambers.
Ramsey now crocked. Who was that new fitness Guru?!

Campbell plays in Theo. hopefully Campbell will now get picked, and Giroud and Theo start scoring again in the PL.

He needed that goal. Good finish Theo.

Superb ball by Campbell.

Looks like Watford at the weekend then chaps. They won't be easy for our injury ravaged team.

Finally putting a team to the sword. Well played lads.

Shame about the injuries.

We've had some luck tonight. Let's hope the tide has turned. 2 goals for both out of form strikers.
Watford will be far tougher.
Kind of hope Iwobi and Campbell get to play against Barcelona. I prefer Gibbs in front of Nacho than at FB.

Just when you are feeling a bit meh about the team, they go and do that!

Good comfortable win but not going to get overly excited.

I don't favour dispensing with Giroud's services in the summer. He has scored some important goals this season and is physically brave. He takes and comes back from terrific punishment. I don't think many on the thread though the we would win by such a wide margin tonight. A pleasant surprise.

Glad to get a comfortable win tonight, we needed it. Watford will be a lot tougher on the weekend, especially with our injuries. I can't wait to see what our defensive line up is gonna look like lol.

Will Wenger play a weakened team against Watford in the cup to prepare for Barcelona or will he play his strongest team and rest players against Barcelona

Credit where credit is due. Not a great 1st half but we turned the screw in the 2nd half. Shame about the injuries, just hope not too serious.

I do hope we don't mess about against Watford with an eye on the Barcelona game.

Has to be strongest against Watford as Barcelona tie is gone

Wenger:

"Mertesacker is not serious, just a little concussion, and I think Gabriel looks all right but for Ramsey I am little bit more concerned.

"It's a thigh injury, but apart from that we have played well."

I agree with this TBH. Watford will be harder than Hull and whatever we do against Barca, we'll get ****ed, so may as well as forget it.

Good result and even better 2nd half performance. As usual, it comes at a cost that could have been avoided had we gotten the job done at home. With a bit of luck, we'll have Merts and Kos available for Sunday.

Agree with others who feel we're better off forgetting about getting something from the Barca game. Best to concentrate on the Fa cup and the league and see where we end up there. 3 cups in a row would be some achievement and I'd be happy with top 3 and that, in spite of the fact that we may well be below Spuds and Leicester (!!).

Agreed, forget about the Barca game and just put out a similar team to last night for that next week.

Still think Arsenal will have underachieved even with an FA Cup win and a top 3 finish. Shame we have to keep lowering our expectations with this team and manager

Might even be fourth or lower. Still several tough away trips to come. Injury list is huge again.

I disagree with those who say we should field a weakened side against Barcelona.

We have to put out our strongest team and go for it. With a bit of luck you never know. Stranger things have happened.

Walcott was shite for 89 minutes and 30 seconds last night. But I'd put up with that for every game we have left - if he scores two goals in each one of them.

Agreed. 2-0 down looks bleak but a club like Arsenal cant go away defeatist and accept defeat. Go there and try to win. May get hammered but a weakened side would as well.

Of course, I agree that we shouldn't field a weakened side at all but if we do, I think we should do so against Barca rather than Watford.

It's highly unlikely that we'll progress in the CL, so it would make sense to try and get the FA Cup for a 3rd year running, no?

Let's progress in the FA Cup first and play a near enough full 1st team and see how we're doing squad wise after that. There does seem to be little point in risking too much against Barca only to have this impact the league and cup run ins. Got a tricky away tie after the Barca game to deal with as well and the squad's not very big at the moment.

No I think we can finish second. We are relying on others to beat Leicester. 8 points is a lot to make up.

Remember the nonsensical injuries incurred at Hillsborough when Walcott and ox did not warm up properly.
