The Emirates is a soulless place, there have been great moments, but the players don't excite you like they used to. Arsenal always start games in the same fashion, and only when they are behind the players wake up. It should never be like that.

I don't blame Wenger for today's result. The players he put out were good enough to win, and they are top pros, they shouldn't need a manager to motivate them. But this will always happen under his management.

Arsenal got the first goal on Tuesday whilst Watford got the first goal today. Hull had to come out leaving spaces on Tuesday whereas Watford could drop back even further (if possible) today limiting space behind.

Can't even muster any deep emotions for our losses these days. No point. Nothing's going to change. We are already in the scramble for the usual 4th place.

Arsene will still be here next season and we can pretty much predict how the season will go as we've seen it all before.

Simple the hull game papered over the cracks or the midweek game took a bit out of the players. Where as Watford had a week to rest and prepare for whoever they were going to take on.

Reason why we lost is because half the players don't care and Wenger can't motivate the players anymore.

One thing i will say our remaining home games are going to be tense. The fans will not give these lot a easy ride no more.

Think Wenger's belief that his players will come good is damaging. Everyone can see Giroud isn't a patch on Anelka, Henry or RVP. Walcott's good, but far too inconsistent.

Kroenke said he didn't invest in Arsenal for trophies, which is all you need to know about the situation. Wenger will go (hopefully come May), but Stan will stay. He'll try to find an unambitious, yes-man manager.

This does worry me actually. As long as the silent one is there I do wonder if we will ever get the kind of manager the fans deserve?

Lowering your performance level to beneath theirs and giving up for three months isn't really the answer though.

No point getting all these things if you do not use them to your advantage. Any new manager needs to be ambitious. If he is just a yes man and does not spend etc not much will change maybe except tactis and the way we play. Stan said he did not but the club to win trophies but to make money so it shows the boards ambition.

I think a change of manager will do the team a world of good.

But boardroom politics? Don't think so. Wenger is set in his ways, as much as the club come out with propaganda crap like 'we've got money to spend', Ivan and co like that they have a prudent manager who does the minimum. And which club wouldn't?

Wenger was ambitious when he joined Arsenal, now he's content with top four finishes. If you tell someone they have to finish in the top four Y-O-Y, not worry about trophies and have to finance stadium debts by selling players, you cannot expect he or she to suddenly become successful when they are given money to spend and targets change. Wenger dithers in the transfer market, but what is more concerning is the team never learns from same old mistakes.

If Arsenal were ambitious Wenger wouldn't have got a new contract in 2014. They would've signed Guardiola at the first time of asking, but didn't. If Wenger was ambitious, he would've done all he could to win the league/Champions League by now.

Stan sees Arsenal as a business opportunity, nothing more, nothing less. As long as they are in Europe's premier competiiton, in England's top division, sell out games and merchandise, and have the media take a big interest in the club's affairs, he will remain put.

Arsenal won't realise its full potential, unless the owner does. A manager is only as good as the resources you work with and backing you get.

I always felt Wenger would not see out his contract, and I do think he'll leave in May. If he wins the title, that would be a fitting end and a somewhat Arsenal way to do it. If he doesn't I cannot see how he can pick this team up and continue to spin guff.

I know, I agree with you was just trying to imagine the way Kroenke see's it...Why change a sound, working, money making machine...its a cliche but I really don't think he cares what us mere mortal fans think..

Barca on Wednesday could be brutal. They don't let up even when the game is won.

Trouble Wenger is a stubborn old goat & loves to contradict especially if the media puts pressure on him. He will dig his heals in & be more determined to stay.

The narcissist in me wants us to lose every single game for the rest of the season. Only if we finish 5th or below will anything change.

Didn't watch it. It was a lovely day so I went out. First time I've ever missed an important game. I don't go any more either.
