Think Mert and Arteta may be off next season.

Arteta definitely along with Flamnini and Rosicky. Mert, I am not so sure about. He would be a useful backup. I think he's got another year left on his contract.

I'd cash in on Merts, hopefully we can get a few million for him. Get a quality central defender in to partner Kos, keep Gabriel as back up and Cup games.

Arteta and Flamini must go, imo. Get another quality DM in.

More and more ex players are turning against AW. Petit being one.

I think he's spot on there

Looking like no St Totts day this year

I did hear someone on the radio today, a journalist I think, talking about why yesterday's performance was the problem with Wenger. He made the point about us tending to play when the pressure is off. The main point though being Wenger will look at that game and decide not much is wrong. He will think there is no reason we can't play that way every week despite evidence to the contrary and the fact that not many teams will be as bad as Everton were yesterday.

Pretty much agree with all of that. Wenger should be looking at why we made so many mistakes against Man Utd and Swansea.

Surely Wenger cannot be that deluded. I know he wants his teams to play to their strengths, but he has shown this season he is prepared to make changes and tweak the system.

Cannot believe how poor the league is. Liverpool throwing away a two-nil lead, City with embarassment of riches yet struggling at home to a depleted United. I guess Arsenal not winning it is a good omen -- Wenger would be forced to changed, or get pushed and you would anticipate Chelsea, United, Liverpool, City all to improve the following season.

On the other hand, it's so poor that I can't categorically rule out one team from having a late charge.

It's been coming for years.

Still, Spurs could finish above us and still lose out on the title...........to plucky Leicester.

Yes all valid points. We did play well yesterday but it does beg the question why we weren't able to play in the same manner against Man Utd. I do think the lineup was a factor too. Instead of the ineffective Walcott, we had Iwobi. The other thing that Wenger does is twist things out of context. He says a defeat is a like disaster in England. It's when the same mistakes keep being repeated that test the fans patience.

We really should have been winning it this year. Can't imagine Chelsea, City, Utd, Pool all not strengthening next season as Petit pointed out.

I keep looking at the run in, Leicester surely can't take 9 points from those last 3 games.

Spurs will choke soon enough, won't they?

We've just got to win our next one and wait for their slip...

I dont think we'll win but we just have to try and get as many points as we can and see what happens. Finishing above Spurs should be a target.

Both Leic and Tott have tricky games still to play. I do think we have the 'easiest' run-in. That's not to say I think we will win it but points will be dropped by the two above us and we just have to win our games and see where it gets us.

That's the main reason right there for Silent Stan & Arsene to be hung out to dry bugger the league, finishing below that lot is the ultimate in humiliation

I'm convinced that if we win every game we will win the league.

It is do-able.

This isn't a vintage season. Think the Swansea game killed any realistic chances of the title.

If Arsenal had RVP up front, I would confidently say they could overhaul Spurs and Leicester.

I'd say this, with Welbeck, Elneny this team can now start to play to their full potential. It could be a grandstand finish.

Then you must be convinced Leicester will draw 2 and lose 2 and we will win all our remaining games overturning the -5 goal difference.

The way Leicester are playing this won't happen.

The only matches in which I would bet money on them to win would be away to Sunderland and home to Swansea.

The rest of their matches are in no way at all a foregone conclusion .

Southampton H
West Ham A
Man Utd A
Everton H
Chelsea A

We've won 13 points from the last 30 and now, suddenly, we're going to get maximum points from the last 8 games?

Do-able? More like delusional. Honestly, is anyone really this naive?

Do you have to be so patronizing and insulting?

If you want to make a point, go ahead. But leave out the crap.

These supposedly 'easy' games - of course being Arsenal, there's no such thing. Even if we did win all of them, we are of course relying on others to slip up.

I think anything we do now will be too little too late as far as the title's concerned. We can give it a go but Leicester surely have enough to hold us off. I just hope Spurs start slipping up soon as finishing below them is unthinkable.

Can't believe a word of the Sun story. AW told by those "high up" to spend the cash or get out? Our board? Can't see any of them saying boo to a goose let alone laying down ultimatums to AW.
DavidT

And another weird one. Reports from someone called Don Balon that Ozil is threatening to leave if AW remains in charge. Again seems completely unsubstantiated.

The media are bad enough at the best of times, but when it's boring, no-news international friendlies week, they tend to surpass themselves with even more made-up bullshit than they would usually put out.
