These supposedly 'easy' games - of course being Arsenal, there's no such thing. Even if we did win all of them, we are of course relying on others to slip up.

And another weird one. Reports from someone called Don Balon that Ozil is threatening to leave if AW remains in charge. Again seems completely unsubstantiated.

There's another one going around that we are going for Mourhino. God knows where it's all coming from.

I'd be up for that. He's a proven winner, despite what Codeblue would have us all believe!

It's Arsene he appears to actively dislike not the club. If he was given a chance to dance on Wenger's grave he'd be in like a shot. Can't see the club going near him though.
No way would he come to us. The board will not allow it. |

Wouldn't make much sense. Things weren't that much different when he signed with AW in charge. It's not like he signed for an upcoming promising manager and is disappointed it hasn't worked out.

No way he hates Aw. He always praises him. He hates the fact Aw is wasting his chance to be a winner.
No way would he come to us. The board will not allow it. Praises him indeed.

I guess for the short term after Aw he could be what we need. Id much prefer Simone or Berkamp or Pellegrini or Lowe.

I'm sure the club will be sensible enough to stay with Arsene.

We must have been watching different interviews Spidey - if he could get Wenger's face in his hands and squash it he would!
Praises him indeed. ![]() Quote:

I wouldn't let Mourinho anywhere near our football club.
He is an uncouth, boorish, graceless, and self-serving mercenary. Everything but a gentleman. Bringing him in would go against all of the principles the club has built itself on over the past 100 years. When the time does come for the club to find a replacement for Wenger, they would do very well to leave Mourinho off the list. |

Mourinho also has some other qualities that you failed to list: CL winner Numerous league titles in numerous leagues Great tactician |

I'd say that Wenger could easily be called self-serving too.

I didn't question his professional achievements. It's the way in which he conducts himself that leaves a great deal to be desired.

It depends though, I'd rather have somebody who is a little more outspoken but a proven winner.

'A little outspoken' doesn't come anywhere near.
I don’t think it matters anyway as we will be stuck with Wenger for another season at least to inflict yet more damage on the club, however if Mourinho was available to us and the board decided to stick with AW then it really does show that they don’t care winning anything. |

But I think he’s viewed as worse than he is by rival fans, I think he’s a t*t at times too, but if he was our manager then I wouldn’t care, he would be doing all he could to win the league, CL etc. So what if he said something that annoyed other fans, it's all part and parcel of the mind games of modern football managers.

Our club is better than that. |

Of course it matters how the manager of Arsenal Football Club behaves. To deliberately employ a manager who continually provokes controversy, and publicly insults just about anyone and everyone whenever he feels like it, would be nothing short of outrageous.
Our club is better than that. We're not really better than that, Our club will happily charge one of the most expensive prices in football for a ticket, allow the team to go for years without even challenging for the title, boast about the profit reserves whilst not strengthening the team. Allow a manager to go unchallenged whilst he works on his vanity project. I'd rather have somebody who was striving his hardest to win than somebody coasting, I'd take the extra baggage of Mourinho to see the team revamped and actually challenging. |
