Of course it matters how the manager of Arsenal Football Club behaves. To deliberately employ a manager who continually provokes controversy, and publicly insults just about anyone and everyone whenever he feels like it, would be nothing short of outrageous.
Our club is better than that. |

We're not really better than that,
Our club will happily charge one of the most expensive prices in football for a ticket, allow the team to go for years without even challenging for the title, boast about the profit reserves whilst not strengthening the team. Allow a manager to go unchallenged whilst he works on his vanity project. I'd rather have somebody who was striving his hardest to win than somebody coasting, I'd take the extra baggage of Mourinho to see the team revamped and actually challenging. |

I don’t think it matters anyway as we will be stuck with Wenger for another season at least to inflict yet more damage on the club, however if Mourinho was available to us and the board decided to stick with AW then it really does show that they don’t care winning anything.
When Wenger finally does depart our club, I fully expect them to bring in another manager like him, a yes man. |

I agree, as you say, sticking with Wenger effectively means the club has no ambition whatsoever.
When Wenger finally does depart our club, I fully expect them to bring in another manager like him, a yes man who won't challenge the board. Surely they get told what to expect when they are given a contract. |

For me, as an outsider, it seems like Wenger has been in situ too long. The board will never go against him and he's surrounded by yes men.
Those who want Wenger to stay are effectively settling for winning nothing and finishing top four every year. Wenger's achievements have been remarkable, but given the managerial changes going on at the moment, Arsenal risk being left behind. When things are going well at Arsenal they can look like world beaters, but when heads drop, and things are going badly, they're as inconsistent. Between Cech and Ospina you have two reliable solid goalkeepers. Koscileny and Mertesacker on their day are probably one of the best centre back pairings in the league. Not sure about the options after them.. Bellerin/Chambers aside, I find your full back options underwhelming. Monreal goes through spells where he looks like the left back he always should have been, but at other times, he looks ordinary. The midfield is very lightweight. The team should be built around Ozil, Sanchez and Cazorla. Giroud again, goes from being unplayable to looking like a league one striker. For me Arsenal need some new full backs, a centre defender, two centre midfielders, in the Vidal/Pogba mould and a new striker. A new manager wouldn't go amiss either. The likes of Koeman would keep the football style similar, but would surely add some more resiliency? |

It's as though Kroenke and Usmanov know Wenger is the best manager to line their pockets and winning trophies is secondary.
Sad state of affairs. He is. We're stuck with Le Fool I'm afraid folks. |

Piers on Twitter says Wenger has been offered a new 3 yr deal.
Don't know what to make of it. Someone leaking information out to undermine Wenger's position? He didn't take it well the last time this happened. Would he have the audacity to even sign it? Just sick of the same old guff every season, he must leave in May when Leicester win the title. The whole team are bottlers and just thinking about it makes me mad.

Regular as clockwork every year. Couple of weeks after we **** up another season comes the first news of all the multi million pound signings we're going to make next year. |

AW has no doubt he will be managing AFC next season and believes his best is good enough for the club.

http://www.beinsports.com/en/premier...mirates/226642 Wether he will be here next season is a different issue. No way would he come out and say what the public wants him to say. |
