how reassuring. Walcott has just been shown a picture of a football pitch by Bould.

Let's be honest, title was over weeks ago and that first half performance should've convinced anyone that this team isn't good enough. Always thought this would be the toughest game in the run-in, and a point isn't bad on paper. But throwing away a 2-0 lead....you come to expect that with Wenger. He won't change, the players should've tightened up after Carroll's first and take a 2-1 lead into half time. They didn't. Midfielders didn't offer much protection to the defence, Gabriel was shocking. Second is the best this team can do. Win both home games and hope Spurs start to slip up. Think that's plusible. Quote:

![]() Arsenal do tactics now? Thought they just ran around a bit and told to enjoy themselves. |

Shocking managerial performance from Monsieur £8 million a year.
Needs to come out and apologise and then resign. |

Just highlights the need for a top (and I mean top) centre back. Gabriel is as useful as a chocolate tea pot.

The issue is Wenger's system, and him not getting the best out of the team. Has been for seasons. His 'tactics' in an ideal world are fine -- worry about your performances, and express yourself. But he does little to counter the opposition. He always stumbles on solutions instead of actively finding them. What did Adams say, Graham used to drill the defence and make them do the basics time and time again until they were sick of it. Where are the drills for Gabriel and Kosicelny? I know Wenger doesn't like that, but tough, he's a manager and should stop mollycoddling them. The defence gets exposed time and time again and all he does is papers over cracks. I don't even think Gabriel is terrible, but he needs help. |

Another Achilles heel shown up today not being able to handle a physical strong forward. Reminded me of when Crouch got a hattrick against us.
Then again Wenger doesn't do tactics. Maybe Cech and Mertesacker should have started for their height. Trying to go for the third instead of holding 2-1 going into half time was typical of Wenger and his side. Points dropped yet again. |

amuses me to see how many calling for Carroll for England. With a non English ref today, he'd have been red carded for his 1st half challenge on Koscielny, and if the ref hadn't spotted that, definitely for his elbow on Gabriel. Fact is, he can't get a game until Bilic realises he's up against the CBs of Arsenal, then in he comes.
We need a new manager, CB, striker at the very least. I do like the look of Elneny though. Where's Campbell? I dread that Walcott will be kept on as no-one will pay him what we do, and that Campbell will be sold instead. Campbell's average, but he's a good option to come on off the bench and do his utmost and this season has been better than Theo. Depressing that you could read this thread for any of the last 5 or 6 seasons. The banners at the end were expensively printed, don't you think?!

All 4 of our CBs are injury prone. Not convinced by Gabriel and Kos as a partnership. Massive oversight by Wenger not buying another.
Time to spend big on a CB in the summer. |

But we could sign a top defender and the problems will still reappear. Arsenal could sign Messi, Ronaldo, Pogba, and the problems will continue.

With City winning we're in danger of missing out on the Top 4 ourselves.

Would need an almighty collapse Grim. If we can't get another 9-12 points from the remaining 6 games then quite frankly we don't deserve a top 4 spot.

Just want a manager with fresh ideas, tactics.
So infuriating to see the team look purplexed when Carroll was bossing it. He won't start every game, but will against us.....which frankly says it all. The manager continues to pull wool over people's eyes and say the team have learnt, but these problems have existed for years. Same, silly errors. This team don't know how to control games, they just chase. Wenger's running out of excuses. If he wants to stay, he has to radically do something different. But he won't. Can't see him signing a new contract with the fans incensed. |
