I wouldn't have Ozil anywhere near it. Since December I wouldn't even have him in the best Arsenal 11 never mind Premier League. For all the assists, you struggle to think of any great Ozil moments this season, compared to Mahrez, Payet and the others who would be in double figures.
Really? You only need to look back at his man of the match performances against United, City and numerous others where he has been almost unplayable.

The only difference between the 1st and 2nd half of the season is he's been performing at the same level but the chances aren't being converted to goals. He has created 269 clear cut chances in his time at Arsenal and only 32 have been converted. Not his fault if he is surrounded by average finishers at the club.

Priority for this summer has to be signing a clinical finisher who will make the most of Ozil's quality. Aubameyang or Morata please

Just had an OMG moment after I read this, posted by a Colorado fan on the Guardian's comments re the ruinous ownership of Villa and (a favourite team of mine) Charlton.
It occurs to me - and I may be being OTT pessimistic as it's my nature - that Wenger might be the one persuading Stan to spend money on the likes of Sanchez and Ozil, rather against Stan's will. Stan likes cheap and Wenger doesn't come cheap.
No doubt the Kroenke problem is a far greater one than the Wenger one though. Much harder to change owner than manager (goes to pour stiff drink and lie down):

Here's a Colorado fans' opinion of Stan Kroenke (LA Rams, Denver Nuggets, Colorado Avalanche and Arsenal).

No discussion of bad owners is complete without Kroenke (KSE).

He is to sports teams what cancer and AIDS are to human beings [direct quote, sorry].

Good example; our stadium was not originally built specifically for the Rapids. It was built for a real estate development deal. He honestly figured the Rapids would fold within 5 years of the stadium being but. That's why the seats in the stadium aren’t team colors...he didn't think the Rapids would last. He even wanted to deactivate the club for the 2006 season, but the league wouldn't let him. He owns land downtown that would have been a good fit for a stadium. Instead, he built it in a poor suburb because he could get a sweet deal on development rights and kickbacks from the municipality.

He's extremely cheap. He understaffs front offices [FO] and does not give them resources needed to be on par with the rest of the league. Moreover, he puts his staff in bad situations, and regularly chases off the effective/successful people because they cost too much to keep on payroll. Anytime the club managed to get a potentially lucrative corporate sponsorship deal, KSE would steal it away and give it to the Avs and Nuggets.

We still have the smallest FO in the league.

We historically have had one of the lowest player payrolls in the league. This year is a complete anomaly, and I'm honestly worried that if the team doesn't show noticeable success with the current roster, ownership will then use that as an excuse to never sign expensive players again.

They habitually hire the cheapest person available when there is a coaching vacancy. Clavijo, Smith, Pareja, and Pablo were all cheap hires.

We were the last team in the league to get a shirt sponsor...by a country mile.

We were one of the least teams to sign a DP. Even then, our first real DP with a salary above $1,000,000 was only acquired just last year.

In the 9 years DSGP has been around, He has been to less than five games at DSGP (this includes non-Rapids events).

...and that’s just the tip of the iceberg.

Forgot this was on.

From what I'm reading, Ramsey and Giroud have been shocking. Why does Dear Leader persist with them?

A terrible game. Neither team can string a pass together. Giroud has been his useless normal self. Heading for a 0-0.

It has a flat feel Arsenal just want the game over and Sunderland would probably take a point

Dreadful!!!

I'd take back an injury prone Van Persie than have him lead the line.

As ever, we hit 70 minutes before Arsene remembers he's got subsitutes to use. The utterly ineffective Giroud replaced with the utterly ineffective Walcott, but at least Welbeck's on the pitch too.

That looked like a foul on Welbeck to me.

Players thinking about holidays.

I know it's a end-of-season game, but can't for the life of me remember watching Arsenal play so dull under Wenger for a considerable amount of time.

Too simple, too easy. No idea how to break Sunderland... or any team who play like this... down at all.

They will still finish fourth which won't change a thing

Relax, fourth place is ours.

City have Southampton away, and can't see United winning at Upton Park.

Just turn up at home. Another boring season!

Nah they probs will. They will have to qualify. 3rd is not in our hands unless we beat City

Meh these lot have been on holidays for weeks now. Today it was just a case of knowing top four is safe and league is gone so they are saving energy.

As for persisting with Giroud. I guess with Benzena out Wenger is helping him get into the french team.

i will say Elneny and Iwobi have been positves and must be 1st choice next season.
