Walcott played like his Arsenal career is coming to an end. I deffo think him and Ox are gone in the summer.

Utterly tedious end to the season. Although to be fair we've played like this most of the season.

It's futile to assess where it went wrong for Arsenal. Am I surprised? Not really, given the way they've been playing all season.

We keep posting the same things year after year.............Wenger does nothing to solve anything.

When Iwobi (a teen, who has only got a run since March) has been the highlight, you know there are problems.

I'm resigned to the fact that Wenger will stay one more season. Will he go all out in the summer and buy players? Will he do anything differently? I hope he does, but I'm expecting another anti-climax.

Fans need to stay away from the Emirates. Not worth your hard-earned cash to see a team underachieve and get away with it.

What I think needs to happen is for the club or Wenger or both in a joint statement to say that next season will be his last, officially. No contract extension or if there is then it's been turned down by the manager. At least that way the bad feeling that is hanging around the club presently will abate somewhat. Then we can start the new season with the fans onside mostly, knowing it will be his last and he can leave with our thanks. And in the meantime the club can seek out a new man for the following season.

As it is Wenger is dictating the future when he may not even be a part of it. It's a complete shambles. The sooner a statement is made, the better.

For the time in I can't remember when I didn't bother this afternoon and it sounded like it was just as tepid as I expected it to be be.
I notice Wenger favourites Ramsey and Giroud have undeservedly wormed their way back into the side. Typical - Welbeck utterly average that he is- has been doing OK and scoring one or two -and he gets left out for somebody who hasn't scored since pussy was a kitten.

We were at friends this afternoon (who are Gooners too), but the footie was on in the background, sound muted, none of us really watched it - apathy has well and truly set in.

They'll be fine. They know that they have the insurance of home to Villa as the last game. That is why they only drew today.

They will have worked out long ago, that to get 4th and not 3rd or 5th, that from the Norwich and Man City matches they will likely need one win and a take it easy, no effort game in the other.

OK maybe we get fourth, but what if City and Pool win their respective cups? We miss out. 3rd or even 4th is not in our hands, especially the way we are playing.

What will be will be Grim. No point in worrying what City or Liv may or may not win. For what it's worth, I think City will finish top 4 anyway so that part is covered.

Funny to hear the manager moan about Thursday-Sunday football. May have to get use to it. Then coming out with bs about energy levels dropping because they played Thursday. I'll say this for the guy, he's got an excuse for everything.

He has. I fact I think they're all written in a little black book so he can trot them out as required. Let's face it, he's had enough practice recently. Maybe he can explain how the Totts are doing so well, with a squad costing half the price of ours and of course have played on a Thursday all season?

Good for you - the only way it's going to hurt them is to stay away. If everyone did it (including my OH, who won't let his ST go in case a miracle occurs and we appoint a decent manager) they'd soon get fed up to playing to a half empty stadium.

You're right there is an excuse for everything ... even if it completely contradicts what he said before the game:

I was just going to post the same thought. There is no other reason for starting an out of form Giroud other than this reason. He was the worst player on the pitch in a decent performance against WBA and it carried on yesterday. Maybe France paid a bung for Giroud to be guaranteed games at the end of the season.

Wenger has always had his own agenda and France always came first over Arsenal.


Did he really moan about that? Because pre match he was spouting info on a study done by UEFA saying there is no difference in results from having a 3 days to recover from games compared to more days.

I couldn't believe he dropped Welbeck for Giroud! Crazy decision. Welbeck, Sanchez and Iwobi had gelled really well and ten he drops Welbeck!!

I know Welbeck isn't a world beater, but he looks like one next to Giroud and he was playing well and with confidence, so obviously the best thing to do is bench him for no reason.

For me it's another aspect of poor management, Wenger can't make the tough decisions, it showed at the start of the season with Ospina playing in the CL because Wenger wanted to be nice and still play him and it shows again now. There seems to be cases where he is just blind to see the faults, Giroud has been our leading striker for a good while now, imagine if we actually had a decent CF!!

What I think will happen is they will be desperate for next season us to win something or actually challenge for the league to justify extending his contract and another 3 years of decline.

Can't see any way we will challenge for the league next season. The competition will be even stronger and what will we do in the transfer market? Nothing to make an overall difference. Doesn't make much difference anyway as the whole mentality at the club needs changing and it isn't going to happen.

I'm not expecting anything but the same story for next season. Top4 and the odd good performance, but typically a rather turgid affair... It's clear that we'll never be ambitious with ODL and perhaps the current board is to blame for this.

All that us supporters/mugs can hope for is that the club's still in a reasonable position by the time Wenger decides to call it a day, and that the board appoints an ambitious replacement and allow him the same level of funds that ODL refuses to spend.

The only good thing Wenger has done is that he will leave a good basis for the next man, even if we are in the El if that happens. It is about getting the right msn.
