With the quality of managers being recruited by the other 'big' clubs I think we'll have a hard time even getting top four if I'm honest. Unless Wenger goes all out this summer and buys two or three established names (which he won't) I think it's going to be a long hard season and I suspect he won't be manager at the end of it.

We've had dozens of so called world beaters coming through the youth ranks in the last ten years and next to none have made it with us. Just another part of the recurring problem.

what's the story with Sanogo? Loaned to relegated and troubled Charlton, but what now?
is he still on the payroll?
His ex U21 French colleague Coman is doing somewhat better at Bayern!

Yes, all the other teams will probably have the upper hand when it comes to big names and experience. If he's still here by the end of next season (which I doubt) managers such as Pellegrini and Simeone are likely to be available, but I'd rather see De Boer and DB10, or Koeman given the job.

The absurdity of our manager in two simple quotes (nicked from F365).

“I could not understand the frustration of the fans. Giroud has the *confidence. I have said that many times. He has the mental stature to play in this position. We had Giroud, but we also had Theo Walcott who I believe is a world-class striker, we had Alexis Sanchez who is a world-class striker, and we had Danny Welbeck who is a world-class striker. You have to spend a huge amount of money to improve on that four” – Arsene Wenger, December 26, 2015.

“It’s very simple. We all feel guilty and we are all looked at like it’s a shame we are not winning the league because Leicester are at the top. We don’t have anybody with 20 goals in the league, so that is a handicap” – Arsene Wenger, April 24, 2016.

Clueless.

Can't believe after three years Dear Leader hasn't found anyone better than Giroud.

FGS, his stats are deceiving. Adebayor banged 30 goals playing behind Fabregas. Ade barn door, FFS!!!

Clueless.”

The 1st Wenger Quote was just his way of saving money. The 2nd is just blaming his players for failing and not him.

Master of Spin he is.

That's that dream in the bin then.

Our failure to win the league has over time become somewhat bearable. Their winning it would be nauseating.

Yes a pleasing result which barring a miracle should ensure that LC will be the new champions.

However, they are a team on the up and we are not. A bright young manager, a new stadium to come, which it pains me to say but will be a better one than ours in terms of design and atmosphere.

We have an ageing stubborn manager who is taking us nowhere. In fact we have regressed this season. Oh happy days!

"Arsene Wenger says Arsenal are moving forward as a club"

Oh look, it's that old tune again!

As the old saying goes fool me once, shame on you, fool me twice, shame on me, fool me ten years in a row and you deserve everything you get.

How he has the nerve to say all this is beyond me.

Interesting read. Nice to hear he wants to give something positive to the fans, normally he's hell bent on dismissing us.

Also the possession football thing. It's all very well for the likes of Barcelona etc, but for us it really doesn't work. The Invincibles were a big strong team who played fast paced football with some long quick passing - so why does he continue to persist with a style that doesn't suit us - Barcelona extra light we'll never be! Just sheer vanity on his part.

Things have moved on, Arsene it's time for you to move on too.
