Doesn't the club also have an Agenda? AW says the club is progressing and moving forwards. Perhaps he can tell us how? We've lost more games, have less points, will win nothing, playing terribly and are below Leicester and Spurs. Where is this progress? what's to look forward too?

How will next season be any better? Just like him to explain this to us. We're progressing because I say so, doesn't cut it I'm afraid. Nothing hateful but just tell us what we have to look forward to.

Is his suggestion that the home games were played in a 'difficult climate' meant to put the responsibility for the poor performance on the fans rather than on himself or the players?

I was stupid enough not to realise that teams can suss us out by cheating with things like tactics etc. That sort of behaviour is beneath me, but hey, I'm trousering 8million per year so I'm not losing any sleep over it. We're still on course to win the 4th place trophy and I can guarantee that we'll not lose a game in the Emirates Cup next season!

If the other managers would just allow us 3 points at home to teams like West Ham, Swansea etc, we'd be champions, so that's what I'll be pushing for next year. I also think that the supporters are to blame for not scoring more goals and I feel Giroud's getting a lot of stick as a result. If he's insinuating the home support is crap, then he has a point. It's as fair-weathered as you can get, the loyal fans have been priced out, but it's never going to be like the Liverpool/United fanbase. The fans aren't going to make noise and motivate the players. The manager should.

Having said that....................you look at the desire from the Spurs/Leicester players and compare that with Arsenal, totally different.

The team has 'character'...........it's just empty words. Saying anything to avoid scrutiny. They have 'character' because they listen to his every word and are loyal, that's all. I'm guessing Petit's comments about Spurs and Leicester being ahead of you and needing to change your sport hit him hard.

Personally I think he's arrogant enough to believe the fans will mellow down come August. Next season is the last throw of the dice (even winning the treble wouldn't convince him to stay put), so I would imagine he'll do everything he can to win a trophy. So any slip ups and failures in the league will be met with intense scrutiny, but it's futile as he'll be gone by 2017.

It's frankly a mess. He keeps doing the same things over and over..........on the pitch the team haven't come on. You'll get more for your money at the theatre than watching Arsenal at home over a season.

The other thing to take from that is his unwavering loyalty to Kroenke. All of them, the board, Wenger, Ivan.......cut from the same cloth. When Wenger leaves, will they even get the appointment right? And if the next manager has a falling out over transfers, will he walk?

No one takes accountability anymore.

Blaming the fans the day before they're planning a protest against him is probably not the smartest thing he has ever done. Think it'll be stepped up a gear now.

He is technically correct of course, we have been better away from home. But I don't think you can blame the fans for the home form. If the fans react in a negative way it's because we're watching negative football and things have gone rather stale.

You have to hand it to Wenger though, he definitely has the consistency trophy in the cabinet – even this upside down season where the decent teams are under-performing, and the lesser teams are over-performing, we still manage to stay exactly the same.

It's all become very boring and stale. Nothing he says surprises me anymore - heard it all before and I'm sure it's the same for the players.

I hope the protest on Saturday goes well and gets good media coverage otherwise it will be same old with no change.
