You have to hand it to Wenger though, he definitely has the consistency trophy in the cabinet – even this upside down season where the decent teams are under-performing, and the lesser teams are over-performing, we still manage to stay exactly the same.
That is the problem. Coming third or fourth is not really going to cut the mustard with the fans.

Yes, that's my feeling. He's beginning to lose control of the narrative, is being openly and seriously questioned by fans and the media for the first time in twenty years and there is absolutely no indication he has the ability to turn things around. It's only going to get worse from here for him and I suspect we will see this sort of thing on an increasingly regular basis. It won't be long before he'll suggest he might just decide to walk away in an effort to get some sympathy and renewed commitment from the fans.

I think he'll be manager at the beginning of next season. I'm confident he won't be by the end of it.
I also think the players could stop playing for him(if they have not already). Once you lose the full dressing room. You will have to walk away. I agree this will be his last season. Id be suprised if he was here for 3 more years.

Keown saying in a MOTD clip next season should be his last to "leave on a high" or something. We could have done that this season with a 3rd FA Cup.. sigh

You have to give credit where it is due, we have planned it meticulously well this year.

We will win today and have the guarantee of Aston Villa at home in the last game, just incase three points will be needed.

That then allows us to let Man City have the win next week and ensure that they can take third place for us and ensures that we take fourth. You couldn't have had a better last two fixtures to guarantee fourth.

After the monumental mistake of accidentally finishing third last season, they have come back and been faultless in their planning.

ODL never learns/stubborn/wants to prove people wrong.

Funny how everyone's fit again when the trophies aren't getting handed out to Arsenal.

I've said it before, and because I'm fond of repeating myself I'll say it again. It's like a marriage gone sour and Wenger is the party hanging on for dear life, hoping things will go back to the way it once was.

I'd like to come around to Sotek's way of thinking and that he won't be able to take the heat - maybe, just maybe, if the fans keep up the pressure he will leave. But as he's a stubborn old scrote I can't see it myself.

It'll be interesting to see if the fans protest today really does happen or will all be a flash in the pan?
There is no way in hell that he's staying past 2017. Yesterday's press conference basically confirmed that. The pressure is only going to increase, and you can only go on about finances for so long before the bubble bursts.

I don't think he has a concrete strategy anymore, it's easy to motivate the players for games where you are the underdog, but he just expects them to replicate what they do in training. He plasters over problems, instead of actually confronting it. The fact that it's taken him so many years to replace Seaman and Lehmann, then having the cheek to say a goalkeeper is a really important position says it all.

There's no organisation, the defence keeps making the same mistakes over and over and over again. This has happened for years...............will he address it? Hell no.

I don't think anyone would make a noise if the season tickets weren't so pricey, and the manager wasn't commanding such a huge salary. Heck, even if the opposition were really strong. But Leicester have shown him up on how to assemble a hungry team with a shoestring budget.

I don't see the same desire in this Arsenal team. They don't learn anything and if the manager can't win the title in the worst of seasons, what makes you think he'll do it next season? Don't even think a flukey Champions League win would save him.

As much as I'm desperate for him to leave, I thought the A4 protest was a bit of a daft and embarrassing idea.

Then I saw the old fool has picked Giroud again. Deserves every bit of paper he gets waved at him.

They're showing more banners pro Wenger than the Time for Change banners to say that the fans aren't against him.

Disappointed with Sky tbh. Easy to pick out the blocks not anti Wenger than show a block with loads of Time for Change to depict a story of a failed protest.

Something like this would have told a different story https://twitter.com/piersmorgan/status/726452741481107456

Sky showing too many pro Wenger banners. With fans singing c'mon Arsenal. Watch him become smug.

I've no problem with those who support AW having their say but I wish they could spell out what it is they believe he is giving us.

Wonder what those fans think when they hear Wenger blaming them for the poor home form.

Supposedly fans who want better for the club or ones who are WOBs aren't real fans is narrow minded.

As I said I'd let me them to explain what they are supporting. Quite a lot of empty seats as well.

That's pretty pathetic. Maybe if they were a bit more of a fan themselves, they would wise up a bit.

What a boring game. Dominating possession with no shots on target as usual.

They sum up much of what is wrong with modern day football and modern day football supporters.

Everything now revolves around money and finishing in some arbitrary league position which UEFA have plucked out of the air, to play in some dreadfully dull and overrated competition which is nothing more than a cash cow for the governing body.

What is it Elneny said "Wenger told me to shoot less" so you can see what others are being told. "Abandon your normal games, so i can play my way. Players on holiday anyways. They just do not care. Season is done.

No shots on target so far. Completely insipid, utterly devoid of ideas.
