Ddin't bother yesterday but watched a recording of the match this morning. Amazing how up his arse all of the Sky team were. The presenter at the end saying 'that should silence the critics'.
Yeah of course it will - another appalling home performance to scrape a 1-0 win against a dogshit team.
I think my interest in football will be totally ruined before we ever get rid of the old buzzard.

Am sick and tired hearing our manager going on about he's given 19 years to Arsenal FC. As if he's been hard done by. I never asked him to double up as an accountant or work more than 8 hours a day. His choice. He's never said how good Arsenal have been for him. It's all about him and what he's given to the club.

The fact is the club have regressed this season. He can dress it up anyway he likes but it's a fact. Yes let him have one more season but I will be very glad when he finally leaves.

Finishing fourth and the Euros give him the excuse not to make transfers early.......so bloody predictable.

If that donkey Giroud is still leading the line come September and he hasn't signed a proper striker I will probably go mental.

And Dear Leader says he wants to make the fans happy? Spent some bloody money, sort out your ****ing tactics or just leave pronto.

Spot on. It's sickening watching Leicester of all teams so focused with each player knowing what they are doing and buying into it unlike our lot.

I really hope next season is his last. The media need to start asking the question will next season be his last.

I know Utd, City, Chelsea and others have faltered this year, but we have been "consistent" in making the same mistakes for years even though we were always in the Top 4. Maybe I'd appreciate this more looking back. But things are stale, time for change imo. We keep doing the same silly mistakes over and over.
Our best chance to make history in our own way, and we ****ed it up

I'm almost thinking the same thing I wont stop supporting the club, but this apathetic way we have of doing things is killing me inside

This. Even the players are fed up look how Sanchez blanked him when he went off. I think behind closed doors players are not happy.

Uh oh, Arsenal could finish third!

A point at the Eithad would probably secure automatic CL football, but knowing Arsene defeat is better. Losing will consolidate fourth, given Arsenal's inferior GD.

The minimum priority from the shareholders seems to be champions league & he has delivered that year in year out. The only person I can think of in a similar situation was Alax Ferguson a decade ago when Chelsea had their run. The difference is Fergie is only loyal to a point unlike Wenger.

Also Fergie knew when to bow out.

They are hopeless today which probably means we will lose to them next week.

Which takes me back to asking those who support AW, why? Is it perhaps we are now a "day out" club for tourists where the football is incidental? We are treading water and not even playing any decent football any more.

There shouldn't be a minimum priority. Currently with that objective its easy for Wenger to say he meets them every season. If the board demand higher expectations of him I'm sure he will do everything in his power to try and make sure that happens. At the moment there is no pressure on him to try and win the big trophies.

But what if........

- we win all of our remaining games
- the Tiny Totts lose theirs
- we come second
- Arsene claims it as our best finish in many a year
- he gets offered a new 4 year contract at £10m a year
- we never get rid of him
- ever

Not sure finishing 2nd or 3rd will change much. Only if he won the fa cup etc he may have been given a long deal. No way would they ever pay him more or give him a 4 year deal.

I am not sure we banked on their result happening. Even handing them the win next week may not be enough to secure fourth.

All will become clear if Villa take points off of us!

I can't even get too worked up about Giroud starting, Ramsey starting, Ozil having declined to nothing, Iwobi coming off, Welbeck not starting or Campbell being denied a place in the squad by Walcott. Even his substitutions don't irritate me any more.

None of it really matters. Whether he does all that or he doesn't, the chances are that we will still finish fourth and get knocked out of the Champions League as soon as we get into the knock-out stages and meet a team that can kick a ball.

This is what the club has turned into. For 91 other clubs, things like players form, team selections, or matches against sides a place above or below you in the league are crucial factors they dictate your season but they don't really count for anything here, at the moment.

Supporters need to lower their expectations and then they won't be disappointed. We are a top four team - no more, no less. We are not a Championship or Champions' League winning team.

Once you start with those expectations, you won't be disappointed by the end of the season. It's only when you start to believe we can win the League or compete in the knock-out stages of the Champions' League that the disappointment starts kicking in.

Everybody feel better now?

Its not about winning the title but seeing progress and a clear progression with the team. That's where the frustration lies.
Anyway with what Leicester have done saying we are just a top 4 team holds little weight.

Not really. I don't think any sane Arsenal fan, for one moment really believed we would win the league, let alone the CL. But maybe if the hadn't promised us we'd be competing with Europe's elite when we moved into the Emirates, fans expectations wouldn't have been so high. It's always been jam tomorrow.

Maybe if they really want us to just settle for Le Virtual Trophy they ought to stop charging fans for some of the most expensive seats in world football.

You need to stop thinking about progress. That isn't the Arsenal way.

Not really. I don't think any sane Arsenal fan, for one moment really believed we would win the league, let alone the CL. Again, you're setting your expectations to high. As long as we reach the group stages of the Champions League that is enough.
