Wenger lies all the time around transfer time. We are looking for a striker no point letting the selling team think we are desperate. Giroud may be sold if a offer came in. Well i think maybe not now that DW is out.

Theo is deffo off. If he wants to go to the WC than he needs to leave.
--- I'd like to see us sign a quality option throughout the spine. Merts has been OK but will be even slower next year and should be moved on, I feel. Kos should have a better option than Gabriel alongside him but I doubt ODL sees this. There needs to be a quality DM alongside Coq as well, but the most important thing will be to keep Cazorla fit. We're a different team with him and while Ramsey's a fine player on his day, he's not at the same level and doesn't keep it up. |

Would like to see a stat comparing the win percentage with and without Cazorla. Doubt we would have beaten Villa as comprehensively as we did without him in the side.
Meanwhile I found this great video on my Twitter feed of Ozil's 168 key passes in 2015/16. https://vimeo.com/166756906 He would be more appreciated if we had a striker that can bury more of these chances. |

Ozil not looking at his contract situation until after the Euros. He expects that stronger signings will be made in the summer.
Wenger tells Evening Standard that Giroud will be his 1st choice striker next season but that he's looking for back up as Welbeck is out. Join the dots time........ I feel sorry for Santi. He's not made the Spain squad in what would have been his last big international tournament. Hope he has a relaxing summer and comes back smiling next season, raring to go. We need him way more than we need Wilshere. |

Wenger has a habbit of getting out of holes but lets be honest. Coming secound in a season where all the big clubs have flopped. We were 10 points from a side 5000-1 to win the Prem league. Last 16 again in the CL and we won today to a team that had already gone down.
I think we are lucky to get 2nd. |

As good as it is to finish above them, let's not kid ourselves. Our title challenge was pathetic. TH were the ones that pushed Leicester City. We ended up with less points than last season. It's been a bizarre season. Wenger knows it's a massive opportunity missed and I am not sure we will have a better chance for a good while. Plenty of work for the manager in the summer unlike last year!

Might as well take out an advert announcing we don't intend to compete again next season if he really is going with Giroud as 1st choice striker!!
Spend the money and get Higuain, he is the fox in the box and with Ozil and Sanchez feeding him we will be scoring for fun. |

Giroud will stay and with DW out, that makes sense as well. He's a reasonably good option but we definitely need strengthening there.

I'm glad you finished above us because if you finished below us something would have to change at arsenal . my friend who supports arsenal wanted arsenal to loose to make something change at the club because he said about 7 years ago arsenal used to look up not down in the table , he said player like Wiltshire and your old goal keeper schezney and Walcott have brain washed the fans of how important it is to finish top four and above Tottenham , they should be saying at the start of the season lets win the tittle and who gives a ...... What Tottenham do , he said the fans should be saying to the players I don't care what Tottenham do any more I want to win the league we used to finish like 8 places above Tottenham , st Tottenham do has only become important to arsenal since lasagna gate

United concede in the last minute so Cech doesn't have to share his Golden Glove award 👏🏽

I think Giroud gets a bit of a raw deal. Don't get me wrong, I think we need a better striker – for Özil's sanity more than anything! But he has still scored goals this season and has something like the 4th best goals to minutes ratio? So I'd definitely keep him as a back up – but I won't be surprised to see him continue being first choice as there is "no one else available", no one at all, not a single striker on this big planet of ours...

Yeah he does score goals but not regularly enough. He tends to score in spurts and then nothing for ages. You can also argue whether or not he scores enough "big" goals as well. As a team we so often dominate without scoring and it needs sorting out.

So how many Arsenal players can we look forward to seeing in the Euro's?
I'm going to a couple of knock out games. Hopefully involving France. I'm hoping it's a great atmosphere, sunshine and no security scares. |

Ozil, Koscielny, Giroud, Wilshere, Cech, Rosicky (I think!).

I still can't really understand why Jack's going, as he's only just got back from injury. What's the odds he gets injured again! |

In case anyone held even the slightest hope of Arsene actually changing his approach next season the latest tweet from Rafa Honigstein should put your mind at rest: Quote:
bit of a twist in the Xhaka story. official bid has now come in much lower than Gladbach expected after negotiations with 3rd parties.
Never change Arsene. For a moment there you almost had us fooled you really were looking to buy someone!

does look like there's legs to the Xhaka signing story. How do you pronounce it? Zhaka?
If Götze is available, and Liverpool sign him, I'll be upset. He's a wonderful, goalscoring, clever player. Pep didn't rate him for some reason. Ancelotti might well. But with Theo staying and Wilshere getting a lucrative new deal, I'm not optimistic of any world class players coming our way. |

Today would have been our third cup final in a row.
