wenger is the problem whoever we sign .
No chance we'll win the title with Wenger up against Klopp, Pep, Poch, Ranieri, Koeman, Bilic, Conte..... Then again, being under the radar and performing well........it would just be like Arsenal. |

According to reports Arsenal have paid way over the odds for this new guy double what he's worth.
Also he looks like he's what we need to toughen our midfield. |

No idea how reliable this is. Walcott to Leicester and Mahrez to us? http://www.90min.com/posts/3239464-l...ebook.com.html

Next on the list for me would be a quality centre back and striker. Break the bank and get Morata, please Arsene. There are apparently a number of defensive options available 'for free' in the form of Martin Cáceres and Nicolas N'Koulou (and Van der Wiel for RD). Other Bosmans that I wouldn't mind seeing are Miguel Veloso (linked regularly with us in the past) Tonny Vilhena (12-year old Feyenoord/Dutch national team player). |

So if we do win the league it'll be despite Wenger being in charge?

After one outing for England, Wilshere is banging on about far preferring to play in the middle rather than out wide as he does for Arsenal.
My heart sinks at the thought of him (a Wenger favourite) displacing either Ozil or Cazorla. remember: this is what Wenger did before Wilshere got crocked - Ozil was moved wide to accommodate Jack at no 10. Once Ozil was back in the middle in his favoured position, he got the record assists for a team that didn't set the league alight with goals. Sun's out. Not a day to stress about Jack and his no 10 obsession. |

![]() Hilarious Everyone wants to see Wenger lift a trophies, but let's be honest and face the fact that apart from two FA Cups recently, we've not exactly challenged much this past decade. This year, we ended up 2nd but in points terms, we've regressed compared to the season before. We should have walked the league this past year and we didn't, apart from that, we couldn't even beat Watford in the FA Cup to try and make it three in a row. |

I can't believe Wenger would be decisive and quick enough or pay enough to get Morata.
I feel conflicted though as I quite like the idea of Juventus keeping him and challenging the Usual Suspects for the CL as am tired of the same old faces (Juve nearly beat Bayern and probably should have this year) and we won't be challenging for it! The reason he's not scored that many is that Mandzukic plays as lone striker, supported by the superb Dybala. But he's an outstanding young striker, tall, fast and very skilful. If Wenger is interested, he'll not be able to hesitate and will have to pay what RM want. I think he'll sign Gignac instead (OMG emoticon?). No-one I've spoken to in France can quite understand why Deschamps has picked him over Sevilla's Gameiro, who's never going to be world class but gives everything every game and is a far better player. Gignac is like a worse version of Giroud. Lamppost. |

There seems to be increasing speculation that Kante has rejected a new offer at Leicester in favour of a move to ourselves! As much as the team still needs attention in other areas, if that happens alongside the Xhaka deal, I think it's safe to say the team will have been hugely strengthened.
Still need a world class striker though. |

I'd rather that we pay over the odds than end up short (again...). From what I hear, it's a bit of experience and steely determination in the middle of the park, something we've lacked. Coq's a fine player, but I don't trust him enough to be 1st choice, it's telling that he was at Charlton not so long ago...

Could be some time before we see him play for us then
![]() ![]() Of course, it should be 21 years old, worth a punt as squad player although I'd prefer someone like Bazoer or Kante if we are to sign another midfielder. A good striker is more of a priority though, not sure it's been mentioned yet... |

Finally the Xhaka signing as been officially confirmed!
http://www.arsenal.com/news/news-arc...h-granit-xhaka #WelcomeXhaka Nice to see us doing business early for a change and pleasantly surprised to hear he captained Gladbach for the past 2 seasons which will hopefully help next season. |

Glad we've got Xhaka, great start to our summer transfer dealings. Next up is a world class striker and we also need a better centre back to partner Koscielny.

Hope I'm wrong but I don't see the striker happening, possibly a back up at best.

Speaking to a German colleagues of mine about Xhaka.
They say he is a tough central midfielder, who can also play football. Apparently he's had a bit of a disciplinary problem until only recently. Yellow and red cards being fluttered in his direction week in and week out. But I think you get cards more easily in Germany than here. Good signing these guys reckon. |
