Not an arsenal fan myself, although i did hope they'd win the league, but i've been reading this thread to get the vibes on arsenal fans thoughts on signing (29 yr old) Vardy. My views from afar are pretty similar to this. Arsenal, especially this season, play far too much in front of the opposition which makes the signing of Vardy look quite odd. Many times when Walcott played lone striker he's looked lost and ineffective because they dont want to play early longer balls through or over the opponents defence for a pacy striker to run onto.
So if arsenal don't adapt their style of play significantly then Vardy signing could be bad for all concerned (except Vardys bank account). Worst case final nail in Wengers coffin and the start of Vardy and Ranieri's slide to mediocracy.
