We are close to signing Mahrez but how reliable that is I don't know. Another skillful midget then if he does join. It will be tippy tappy heaven for Wenger.
So, we still need another striker and a new CB. I suspect though he will make do with what he's got CB wise. He might make a panic buy if it all goes tits up once the season kicks off. |

Think Mahrez is exactly what we need to be honest. A wide player that can actually create and score - significant upgrade on Walcott, Ox, Ramsey, Campbell...

I keep changing my mind based purely on the rumours and knowing Wenger through the years. I don't think Mahrez will come instead we will buy a striker only. I can see him at Chelsea or City though.

A deal to give Leicester Walcot plus cash for Mahrez would be good business for both clubs I think.
A CF is still needed, proper clinical finisher, no point in creating all these chances if we don't have a finisher. I doubt a CB will be coming in, and I doubt we'll do anything to be honest but am hoping for a surprise and not the usual panic on the last day. |

This latest Mahrez rumour has come from Algerian outlet, Le Buteur. They have since ran an article from a 'source close to Mahrez' who denies that there has been any agreement.
We should be careful about getting too wound up by internet and newspaper rumours, as most of them lead to disappointment. |

Walcott is unfortunately going nowhere. His huge wages are an impediment. He is still in contract and would not agree to a wage cut.
I don't believe any of the stories. Sad to see Arsenal so unambitious and stale. |

Ozil and Sanchez still yet to sign new deals. Both have just 2 years left on their contracts. If they don't sign their value will plummet next year.
Can't say I blame them for playing the waiting game to see if we sign top class players to truly compete. |

Nobody is coming until Wenger sees how we play are first couple of games in the prem.
That's another thing I hate about Wenger, if we have a good result against a good team even if we played average he thinks the team not need improving. |

Arsenals opening day record since Wenger lost the plot is a disgrace too. Don't help that we got Liverpool this year. Expect another Draw.

I see the Mirror is suggesting we are looking at Johnny Evans. Hope to God that's not true.

AW criticising Utd for what they are going to spend on Pogba. Now he can say what he wants but I do wonder if he's saying it because it will magnify where we are in comparison?

I think in the circumstances, Evans is just the sort of player we should be looking at.
We need someone who can come in and get on with it. He has nearly 200 top-flight domestic appearances (most of which are in the PL) under his belt, and over 50 international caps. He is a much improved player, and did very well last season for West Brom. |

Give it 3 years and he'll be spending that on a player, if he's still in charge.

If he was that good he'd still be at United not West Brom.

There's only one thing he could do that would be good enough for me.
