I do hope it's not a serious injury for his sake.
A new CB is needed more than ever. |

A new CB is needed more than ever. Either that or bring Koscielny back earlier than he originally wanted. |

David's right, he'll just jiggle the players around.
For God's sake people, we don't need to buy, we're fine as we are

Virgil van Dijk's now rumoured to join. Would prefer Mustafi but at least van Dijk's got premier league experience.

I thought we played pretty well for a pre-season friendly. Couple of frustrating early misses from Ramsey and Ox, but overall it was a good, positive performance I thought.
What a shame regarding Gabriel. Let's hope the prognosis is more positive than it looked at first. I'm sure Wenger will make the point internally to ensure our people step up their efforts to get the defender signed. How do you pronounce 'Xhaka'. The commentator pronounced it in a variety of ways, one of which was 'Shagger', to which I couldn't help singing, 'Mr Loverman'. |

There is no way we'll finish above: Man Utd, Chelsea or Man City. We may scrape 4th - all depends on how Spurs, Leicester and Liverpool do. I think Spurs may have learned a lot from last season. #regimechangeatArsenal |

Arsenal need to pull their finger out now. Its a weekday so no excuses to be hard at work getting some signings over the line. |

These really do sum up Wenger. We are going into this season with the same players that we finished last season 10 points behind Leicester with. What a joke!

I think Spurs may have learned a lot from last season. #regimechangeatArsenal You don't win the league by winning the transfer market. We seem to get blinded by transfer fees, when it's just one aspect of football. Getting the team playing properly and making them tactically/mentally aware and flexible is another and that's Wenger's shortcoming. So what makes people think him signing a striker will solve everything when he's the master of moving players around???? If we don't win the league, Wenger will be gone so I'm happy with that. It'll take two bad results for everyone to start moaning. There is no chance he'll be signing a new contract, unless he pulls off a massive transfer to quieten the fanbase, or wins the league or Champions League. The problems with Arsenal sadly go deeper than the manager. A club not prepared to give themselves the best chance to succeed. Content with qualifying than doing. Always thinking about the future. If they aren't too careful they may just go the way of Liverpool in the early 90s, with backward ownership. |

As an outsider, I agree with the above.. No league title, no new contract for him. I said a couple of weeks ago that I had a feeling he would be gone sooner rather than later. They aren't a club that would let him go without a top quality replacement available though and in the last few months, many of the most high profile have joined new clubs. That could be one of the things that keeps him in place longer.
