All resigned to, not only today but, the rest of the season I'll bet! I know I am.
Me too - I'm not even upset or surprised in the slightest. Just same old, different day/season.

I know our crowd is quiet but it was totally dead today. As though they were all resigned to it before the game started.
Tbh seeing the teem sheet most knew it would be hard tbh. Haf we been prepared better that game would have been ours. The stubborn old man is just happy to get by. Like Sats said same stuff different season.

Mustafi deal will deffo be rushed before sat game. Ozil, Kos and Giroud will be rushed back. Then we will be busy on deadline day panic buys.

Not surprised to lose, I had a bet on over 4.5 5.5 & 6.5 so nice winnings.

That was basically a story of a manager who wanted better than last season and a manager who doesn't care.

I would be too if I'd realised the manager had conned at least another grand out of me to watch performances like this for yet another season.

Give it a couple more games and I think it will. I don't think he can count on majority support from the crowd anymore. This season could be unpleasant but at least it should be his last.

It is not conning if you know the score and keep going back. We all know what the club does. You are mugging yourself off by going back for more. No point turning up if you are resigned to losing your day is spoilt anways.

As long as he has a few fans than no way would he care what "a few" boo boys say. win the next to games and signings come in he will be loved again
We know how it goes.

Will it be his last season? Well he said as much down to the players etc. Imo the board have told him top 4 is a must fail and he is deffo out. If we are far behind by Dec expect a statement like City boss last season.

"Unlucky.

Lacked a bit stability.

Not every player could last 90 minutes.

Working very hard to get one or two players in.

Desperate, we're always desparate. 😂

At the back we lack a little bit maturity.

We have the mental strength to deal with that (the boos) and bounce back."

Heard it all before.

It's not even the supporters who are angry, rival fans, the media are just as frustrated when it comes to Arsenal.

Buying a striker is only an issue if he sees it as one.........he doesn't.

It's hard to measure the importance of today's result. He'll get a transfer over the line, but there are several players missing. And it's not like today's game wasn't winnable.

There will be a point in the season where everything clicks, but Wenger yet again gambles on August. The season starts for him in September. But yes, the boos will be noticeable now.........he won't have a leg to stand on if there's no title in May.

I think it is fair to say the top 3 are the 2 mancs and Chavs? Anyone disagree. Once again Pool, Us, Spuds etc will battle it out for top 4. Mind you he has not finished 4th for a while guess he misses it.

We know how it goes.
I think he hates the even the slightest criticism though; we've all seen how defensive he can be in the past.

Alongside an increasing element of the crowd getting on his back (Oliver Kay tweeted during the game how he was getting more than an earful from fans near the dugout) the media are going to be far less kind and supportive. I think they can smell the blood in the water. At the end of the game Henry Winter tweeted that it was business as usual, that Wenger had been drifting for several years and nobody at the club in authority held him to account. This is all after the first game of the season and the pressure is only going to ratchet up after every loss.

At some point in the near future he will have a tantrum during a press conference and the 'look how much I've done for this club' line will be trotted out. Eventually his fragile ego and thin skin will tell. He isn't going to get sacked but I bet he walks before this season is over. I've always thought that would be the case and I'm ever more confident after todays disaster.

Just seen his interview in the telly. Almost felt sorry for him. He looks and sounds a wreck.

Thierry Henry: "We were told we can compete in the market, but when the transfer window opens we can't compete - which one is it!?"*#Arsenal. On Ss.

Says it all really when even TH 14 is questioning the transfer policy.

Arsenal FC is a joke. Even lower league teams have some kind of organisation.

He knows time is up. Guess he thought we'd sneak a win and everything he would be peachy.

It was so frustrating watching us today. We played well enough in the first half, but Walcott shouldn't have taken our penalty - he did redeem himself with a good finish though. Coutinho's free kick and Mané's goal were class, nothing you can do about them really. Second half was a shambles, we didn't push hard enough in the last 10 mins. Definitely gotta see some signings now.

I'm sure we will but, as is always the case, it will be the wrong players at too high a price and with salaries that make them impossible to shift when it doesn't work out.

What's worse is that there are still a handful of players out there who could genuinely make a big difference to our team. They'll be expensive and it will require us putting big bids in without all our usual messing around. Fairly sure that fact alone means we've absolutely no chance of getting them.

Same old, same old.

I would feel sorry for him, but then I remember this is of his own making.

Arsenal Football Club do not give themselves the best chance of succeeding.

Not going to throw in the towel, because this team have started poorly before and it's an understrength side. But it's crying out for change. The manager hasn't got a clue of his best team or formation.......he neglects the defence and doesn't buy when strong.

No ambition, just happy making do. Ever since they built the stadium and City arrived on the scene, the club practically gave up.

Henry "looks like top players do not want to come and play for Arsenal"

Does he have a point, are they rejecting us rather then us not going and sealing the deal?

This football club is being managed by an idiot for a manager. An arrogant know it all idiot at that. He said pretty much the same thing last term after the home defeat v West Ham. Undercooked, players not ready etc etc. It's a 38 game season not 37. How is that other players that played in the Euro's managed to turn out this weekend without any ill effects?

Do we have a recognised penalty taker or is it who just 'fancies it'? I do believe he is sackable actually. I am past caring how it ends for him now. I have zero sympathy for him. He's brought all of this upon himself. His dithering and total refusal to strengthen. He's on a kings ransom of a wage. Surely he can see the irony of it! I don't care about what he's done in the past...it's now that counts not bloody 12 years ago. The club needs to grow a pair and ensure that he will be gone next summer.

WTF is the pre-season for? To prepare and fine tune the team to start the new season. Did he think we start next week!! We were physically short....aaaghhhh give me strength.

He said we needed a striker at the end of last season. He hasn't found one.

He said we needed a central defender in the middle of July. He hasn't found one.

Anyone want to tell me what he has done during the last three months.

As you say, I don't care how it ends. He has wasted all of his goodwill with me.
