I think the Mustafi business, if it was ever on, is off now. It's gone on far too long, and I think the player and his agent have been stringing us along.
I wouldn't say the player and club have been stringing us along though, Mustafi is seemingly happy to come and Valencia appear willing to sell but want us to improve our offer. They know we need a CB desperately and they know that Mathieu who was rumoured to be another option is injured so they will use this to strengthen their position and get a better price. |

Rumours still abound about Acadi. What is this guy like and is the price way over the odds? I've read that he's only worth £15. If this is right why are Arsenal going for such a low end player and willing to pay three times his value?

icardi, maybe? Argentinian striker playing for Inter, would certainly add something to the team. Hopefully he'll do as well as one of the previous forwards we took from Serie A.

Press full of stories suggesting we will land Mustafi. Just want them to sort it out one way or another now.

Iwobi's out for a month. Looks like Wenger's detailed look at improving the medical problems at the club is coming up roses!

So it's not the manager refusing to spend, it's not the same tactics/errors costing us games, it's not the same old injuries every year, it's all the fault of Sotek wishing ill fortune on the club!!
You have a powerful mind Sotek! |

DS should never have offered Sotek a new contract. Decent poster once but has lost his way and been overtaken by other posters. He's had all pre-season but wasn't ready and now it's same old, same old with no chance of winning anything. Thanks for the memories Sotek.

Mahrez has signed a new contract. Another one that used Arsenal interest to get a better deal.

Obviously Mahrez's agent was using the club to get a better deal for his player. Arsenal's inactivity and Wenger's reluctance to spend = easy targets.
Saturday's game will be all the more interesting now. |

A loss at the weekend, injuries piling up, transfer targets hitting snags. It seems your wishing ill fortune on the club is working.

Gnabry's putting in some decent performances, I keep hearing from the Olympics reports. Will he be this year's 'like a new signing'? Hopefully he'll get some playing time and impress. If we don't get a new striker, I guess he'll get quite a few minutes if Walnutt and Giroud are the main options up front.

The thing is whatever the journo's throw at him in the presser's he just bats back with bells on it. He would make a damn fine politician. He has a habit of exaggerating everything too.
Like a politician, he lulls the press to sleep with the same repetitive sound bites. "You'll miss me when I'm gone" "Everyone has an opinion" "We'll try to spend money..." "We will play our own game......let's not worry too much about the others" Fortunately the results have become so typically poor that anything he comes out with is meaningless and written off as gibberish. Apparently there's been a double training session to get fitness levels up..............typical reactive Arsenal! It would be nice if the club could just once, just once do their business early and the manager does what he's paid for. To coach and improve the players. |
