hopefully true, although I did read that both players want a buy out clause that is realistic in their contracts. What 'realistic' means in today's crazy market is anyone's guess, but it's a get out if we continue not to be able to challenge for the PL and CL.

Agree on Cech, looks a bit off colour. I hope a blip. Buffon et al are much older than him.
Palace signing French national reserve keeper Mandanda was an excellent signing.

Is Koscielny fit for the PSG game? His face looks bad.
I read it was an eye injury!

Imagine poor Kos hasn't had icepacks off his face for 2 days now. He's playing because he's so much better than anyone else, but I doubt he really should be playing tbh.

The midfield balance was all wrong and Monreal still looks shaky at the back. Possession means nothing if you're not creating chances.
Found a good article that analyses our midfield disconnected shape allowing for slow and laborious build up causing a major problem when breaking down teams that defend behind the ball.

Vs Liverpool https://t.co/fCHvOvCJNu

Vs Leicester https://t.co/0bmFLZzoxQ

It's worrying that this issue was even more prevalent in our recent game against Southampton with neither Cazorla nor Coquelin coming short to receive the ball from the CBs.

I'm still of the opinion that Wenger's improvisational style on the pitch doesn't get the best out of the talent we have and he doesn't work on shape on passing triangles hard enough in training.

Things like this and not reacting and making tactical changes quick enough will limit the team when it comes to competing at the very top with Wenger in charge.

He's a professional footballer for Christ's sake - not a bloody ballet dancer.

If he cant see very well or has poorer co-ordination due to his injury I dont think he should be playing, surely thats obvious

Wenger has left him out already this season due to potential fatigue. Do you seriously think he would play him if he had a debilitating injury? Especially one that would affect his vision and coordination? Seriously?

He looked ok to me. Just a black eye by the look of it.

I fancy us tonight. The betting prices for a win or draw for us are excellent.

Agreed, I very rarely bet on Arsenal, but 100/30 was too good to turn down, I've also done us on minus 1 & 2.

Xhaka on the bench again and the experiment with Alexis up front continues. Strange decisions.

Coquelin and Cazorla start again in central midfield.

Perez and Giroud on the bench too.

Walcott injured apparently. Online starts too. Is that Cech dropped or injured?

I think Ospina is our CL keeper again like last season at least for the group stages.

Goal down already!

Just admit to being baffled by our line up. I thought we put out a weakened team against Southampton so we would put out our best team tonight. No sign of that.

Is there any way I can mute Owen Hargreaves' commentary? Always overdoes the superlatives.

Win, lose or draw, it doesn't matter: Nowhere near good enough to win the competition.

Not even watching.
As soon as I saw the team it was obvious the old fraud doesn't give a shit.
So why should I.

Does Ospina have a clause in his contract which explains his group stage cameos???

Another pathetic, shambolic performance. So called 'best squad in years' can't defend for shit, and can't do the basics right. Wenger is not up to the job, cannae wait until he goes.

Another season gambling and doing F ALL to change anything.............he most certainly does not warrant a contract renewal.

That time of year for the annual attempts to rustle up some enthusiasm for six tedious, sleep enducing training sessions to finish second.
