Chelsea are going to start all guns blazing to get an early second half goal to get the nerves jangling. All to the good if we didn't allow that to happen.

Great half. 2nd goal was typical Arsenal.

1 up. Great goal by Alexis and now 2 up!!”

There's been nothing to moan about.

I dont want to count our chickens yet
Alexis scores again, not a bad return considering he's playing out of position

Bit of a problem here. We're supposed to be at sister in laws 60th birthday party at 7 o clock. Do I watch the rest of the game or risk a divorce.

Nah, can't risk it when you-know-who is still at the helm.

Nice to see us playing well today though. It's been awhile since I've seen us like this. In actual fact, of late, I've been avoiding watching us play.

Can't you do both?

Walcott has a great record against Chelsea.......good stuff from him down the right!

First professional win I have seen from Arsenal in a while. Only Costa not getting sent off was a slight disappointment.

Normally with an encounter with Chelsea there are at least a dozen yellow cards, a sending off, a dodgy penalty and diving from Costa.

Not even a yellow card for us! Amazing!

Surprised we beat them tbh even if they were in bad form they usually raise their game against us. We carried our form into the game which is pleasing.

Clean sheet too. Centre back partnership developing well. Are we above Liverpool into 3rd now?

Well that really was a magnificent first half performance, followed by a professional second half job.
I'm very hesitant because I know they'll let me down in the long run but I'm liking what I'm seeing from this team at the moment.

Time for Xhaka to be starting games though, he's different class.

The way Alexis celebrated his goal I don't think he's unhappy/unsettled here. We should tell City to f*ck off

Hope he can reach 50 goals very soon - 47 so far is pretty good for a winger.

Fantastic win today, the fact it came against one of our biggest bogey teams makes it even sweeter! The hoodoo is over.

that was unexpectedly, and totally wonderful. I like Conté but oh that was sweet as I can't stand Chelsea.
Can't help wondering if we'd have been able to play with that speed and attacking imagination if we'd had Big Olly up front and Ramsey dithering around. This was proper Arsenal football.
Coquelin's knee looks nasty which means Xhaka starts. Like what I've seen of Xhaka.

Alexis' total of 47 goals is only one less than Thierry Henry scored in his 1st 100 games for the club, that's pretty amazing

Excellent performance....the 2nd goal was vintage Wengerball. Couldn't fully relax til about 15 mins from time, given our history of letting leads slip. That Bellerin tackle summed up our performance in such a positive way.

Now the thing is we have been here before, let's not take our eye off the ball as it were and think we can just stroll past teams. I hate these really good results and performances followed by garbage like last season. This game is history....we start again and put in the same level of effort in the next game and so on.

Only just found out the result. Wow, a great win, let's hope they can keep it up.

Coquelin's injury may well be long term apparently. It's the same knee he's done before.

Great to beat Chelsea and a convincing win at that, the trio of Iwobi, Walcott and Sanchez is working well and you can tell they love playing together.

Solid at the back too, Mustafi has been great so far, really like him a lot.

Yep Wenger's persistence of playing Sanchez up front is finally paying off. The speed of Sanchez is complimenting our pacey players in stark contrast to Giroud up front.

Giroud looks to be our supersub at the moment to change things up if teams defend deep.

Shame about Coquelin however Xhaka is more than capable of filling in. Mustafi is playing like was worth every penny spent to sign him.

Another Mustafi fan here, he's been great indeed! Good to see big name signings making an impact.

Hopefully, Xhaka will be filling in as expected. He's imo a better player than Coq anyway and he can shoot, which we can't really say of Coq.

Sanchez is doing the business up front, I agree. He's got enough quality to make it work, although he's had to get used to the role. Giroud can do a job if he needs to, I'm sure of that. It gives us options, which is great.

With a bit of luck, we may be able to jump Spurs into 2nd, and make up 2 points on City if they do draw, which I think is likely. Good to see Everton drop points though.

Although it's a shame, Coquelin being injured doesn't create the same fear it used to. I love the fact that we can say "Coq's out? Oh we'll just play £30m Xhaka instead". I know they are not the exact same player and it's always good to have choices, but still - beats having to play Flamini!
