Anyway how did they score 2 goals ??
We're very generous and want to lend a helping hand.

Well, got the win the hard way. Spuds and Man City drawing puts us in second. Yeah, whew.

Must have been own goals then. The bit I saw Swansea had trouble passing the ball in defence , midfield and attack an all round game from them. Can they do better against teams in the lower half of the table. Right enough of my off thread burblings

So sloppy each time we got the 2 goal cushions. John Moss' refereeing performance was diabolical as Xhaka's sending off was never a red card for simply stopping a break. Players do it all the time and at worst is a yellow card in other games.

Happy we got Coquelin in backup at least as he was always going to get a red for us with his poor disciplinary record.

Nonetheless the 3 points was the most important thing after an international break and we got that.

Swansea somehow look even worse now youre down to 10 men. They look odds on for relegation with this form. Anyway how did they score 2 goals ??
Swansea are a bit of a boogy team for us..we always seem to struggle against them

And then Xhaka can come back in when Coquelin is suspended in a few weeks time and onwards they will go for the rest of the season.
Should ensure they both stay fresh at least.

Never a red card.
Is it a one or three match ban.
Can't keep up with all these rule changes.

MOTD coverage on Arsenal is getting worse by the week.

Criticise Theo even though he scored a brace
Ignore Ozil's volley
Breeze over Xhaka's incorrect red card
No mention of going joint top or 6 league wins in a row

Standard.

Haven't given much thought to MOTD, but I did watch the whole game on Sky later. They did comment on the red card saying it's harsh. It's probably more to do with the fact that we weren't featured until the 3rd game, whch typically means less time is spent on punditry and analysis. Walcott should have scored at least one more, so that is fair to point out.

They spent ages focusing on Walcott and his performances in the internationals and whether he will fulfil his potential rather than the game itself! Also they spent ages showing more or less all of Swansea's chances. If they used the limited time to analyse the game's highlights fair enough but they didn't do that and missed analysis/opinions on the game itself.

It's almost as though the producers were p*ssed off we went above our North London rivals.

He declared himself in the running for the England job when Hodgson's England went out in the Euros lmao.

Just got a feeling we're gonna make it harder than it should be, as we sometimes do. Going for 2-0 with both goals scored after half time.

I couldn't find them on a map, and doubt the players could either. I'm hoping we don't underestimate them. I'd settle for any kind of win. They have a Brazilian, Cafu, who has 5 in 6 games. They drew with Basel.

Happy for the Ox.

3-0 and we can start thinking about resting some players for the weekend.

looking great, apart from what looks like a foot or ankle injury for Santi. Didn't like the look on his face as he came off. Please not a long injury again

was that his pass to Ozil? If Giroud's watching, that's how you control a ball

Koscielny's playing so well so far this season. Following on from his Euro performances for France where he was outstanding. Seems more focused. Maybe Mustafi?
