No he hasn't. More of a comment on yet another medical success story.

Well, it was until yesterday anyway. He may have well been a better option than Elneny.

Not a bad weekend tbh. Middlesbrough could have won.

Don't worry, Arsenal head to Old Trafford next month. Expecting a no show, and it'll be interesting to see how they conspire to lose...........again.

Yeah it could have been a lot worse with City dropping points too. The thing is we aren't going to win every game and neither is City etc but we can't afford to be drawing games that are seemingly home bankers. We will see how costly these lost points are at the end of the season. Not too bothered about being top or second right now. It's about the points on the board and staying in touch.

Wenger trotted out the tiresome CL factor as a partial excuse as to why we weren't firing on all cylinders. Very lame I think considering who the opposition were and we were at home too. We have TH at home and MU away either side of the interlull next month. We are well over due a win against our nearest neighbours at our place. Sep 2013 being the last home win in the PL against them. Then there's Wenger's dreadful record against JM. Never mind November being our nightmare month anyway!

Team news for tomorrow from ODL:

Cazorla will not be available, but it looked after the game that apart from some tired legs and disappointed minds, we had nothing else to declare.

on Giroud and Ramsey…
I think Olivier will be included, but for Aaron it is too early although he is back in full training now.

on his squad against Reading…
It will be a similar squad to against Nottingham Forest. We will have Gabriel, Holding, Jenkinson will be back and will play. Jeff Reine-Adelaide will play, otherwise I think Iwobi, Lucas, Oxlade-Chamberlain will also play. Gibbs - who captained the team at Forest - will do it again on Tuesday.

1-0 HT. Ox.

Still plenty of time to mess this up.

So now Lucas is injured. Great....

2-0 - what I predicted would happen, comfortable without being amazing. Through to the next round at least.

Unlucky to get injured. Their player built like a tank trod on his ankle. Hopefully not too serious as he carried on playing until forced off.

Our last two matches have been so unremarkable, there is barely anything to comment on. But in terms of last night, we did what we had to. Not our biggest priority but would still be good to see the fringe players/youngsters get a good run in it.

That's a pretty fair description of the last two games. Hopefully, we can pick up the pace/points on Saturday and be top for a few hours anyway. It would be nice if West Brom and/or Palace can do us a favour.

If Sunderland are as bad as they've looked, then we'll surely get enough goals to keep us top for the week. But, alas, nothing is ever that simple ...

I'm reluctant to make any statements re the result on Sat, I did for the Middlesbrough match (and the Ludosomething match too). Got one of them wrong, so I'm keeping my mouth shut this time.

On paper, Sunderland are poor indeed, but football's played on grass and we know how erratic Arsenal can be...

My, the thread's been quiet.

I guess we must be winning.

Ha. Arsenal fans aren't happy unless they have something to moan about.

He was unlucky. Got trodden on. Not much you can do about that.

Has Perez scored yet?

Don't think so, but if I remember correctly, he set up two goals in the 6-0 CL win?
