I was at the game today (unfortunately sat in with the Sunderland supporters). Arsenal are my girlfriends team so I'll watch them whenever I can. And I'm a Newcastle supporter so always want Sunderland to lose!

The crowd really went for Alexis today! What I was seeing was him being fouled constantly but they thought he was diving. A clear penalty as well it looked from the stands yet he was jeered. All four goals were really neat passages of play, although Mesut didn't seem his usual quality, it was Eleny, Alexis and Bellerin were my best players today (and Giroud with his super sub!)

Looking forward to seeing Xhaka back soon, Ramsey seemed to slot back in. Really enjoyable game, only bad part was my scorecast was 4-0 Alexis to score first!

Anyways, back on point, despite my better judgement I'm getting optimistic about this team.
Probably wise to see how we come out at the end of November though - usually a month where the wheels fall off big time.

* I will really.”

Now Hayden, haven't you learnt your lesson yet?

Still, we are doing MUCH better than I thought we would.

Sunderland do indeed look awful. I thought Moyes would bring some organisation and improve the quality of their play, but it just looks awful right now. Hard to see them staying up. We were nervy at 1-1 and in previous seasons we probably would have drawn the game but we kicked on and got a good win in the end. Hopefully we can navigate through November, one of our stereotypically challenging months.

Every month is challenging for Arsenal we need a win at Old Trafford on November 19. That is a crucial match personally for Wenger. Spurs next Sunday will be v hard fought.

when is Santi back? We'll need him for the difficult games in Nov.

If Wenger can't take JM now, he never will. Key games in CL (we have to win them), the derby, then at O.T. Then we can see where we are.

He should be back now. Wenger said on Friday that he had "fitness concerns" about him ahead of the Sunderland match and that he would be assessed before the game. Obviously he didn't end up playing, but the fact that he might have played implies that his injury wasn't that bad. Personally, I'd have him on the bench tomorrow and save him for Spurs.

He, Bellerin, Theo and Monreal haven't travelled to Bulgaria. If it's Santi's achilles, could be another one of those longer than official prediction injuries.
I hope he's fully fit and up for the game vs Spurs.
I also hope we don't underestimate this lot tonight.

Hopefully, they're withdrawn as precautions and they're all fit on Saturday. We should comfortably win tonight, even without them. Could be worth giving Giroud and Rambo some time.

Hopefully we have the same team that played Chelsea playing in the NLD. I agree that Giroud and Ramsey should start tonight to give them much needed minutes.

Any win even if its narrow should be good going into the weekend game.

imagine they'll target Jenkinson. He's not played at this level for ages now. Hope there's midfield cover for him. Bit worried if that's Ramsey as he wanders about quite a bit.

Did Santi travel for the game?

If so I'm hoping for a 20 minute run out, Alexis (no matter how much he thinks he doesn't) needs a rest for a game, and Ramsey looked good against Sunderland. Saying that, I could've done! So hoping he starts.

So turns out my 5-0 premonition last night was wrong...maybe it was 5-2 instead.

Sanchez is having a stinker tonight.

Hope he doesn't carry this performance into the weekend.

Class goal from Özil.
Wouter

Well, that was pretty average by Özil...
