Shame PSG scored at the end. Still need to finish top of the group.

I think we were much better than them overall. Two stupid goals conceded through individual mistakes. Gibbs is not as good at defending as Monreal. Jenkinson also coming back from long term injury, sometimes needed reminding of where he should be. I think he did OK though. Some deadly crosses.
But we had too much quality for them in the end, and the goal from Ozil was just superb. World class! - even though some people in another thread don't think he is.

Still think we were lucky with the Xhaka goal though, Ludogrets played some good stuff.
Alexis didnt have a great game by his standards. Ozil's goal was amazing

Ozil's goal was amazing ![]() It seems Ludogrets were suffering from Arsenalitis, playing well, scoring a goal or two and when it suddenly goes against you, doubts seeped in and they gave the game away. Good to see us dig deep and fight for a result, and more importantly, get it. Ozil's goal was something different, great run, excellent skill, and the composure to finish it off, truly wonderful! |

Ozil's goal sublime. I woke up this morning thinking about it! I'm thinking of reinstating my Red membership to try to go to the PSG game and maybe some others (I can't afford cat A prices though......)
Mind you, we're doing v well now that I'm staying away, which makes me wary of going back as well ![]() We are going to need Cazorla, Monreal and Bellerin back asap though. Gibbs (I've always droned on about it to anyone who'd listen) isn't a real FB, he's a wide left midfielder. Monreal is a better defender, although he's not had his best start to the season despite being called up for Spain at last. I hope Ramsey stays on the bench when all the 1st choices are fit. Wenger always seems to try to shoehorn him in somewhere. |

Ah, ok... That sort of night it is then..... Plenty of time left though (he said unconvincingly).
Sometimes the magic shines through. Now let's beat PSG and top the group. |

I wouldn't call it lucky as such, we worked harder and tried to create more after we went down. Defensively, it could have been better, but without Bellering and Monreal, it wasn't as solid as I know we can be. Jenks and Gibbs played OK, but Ramsey looked like he could do with some more matches. Xhaka add something to the team, sometimes a bit too much of it though, but luckily, we have Elneny to bring on rather than the likes of Arteta/Flamini.

I meant I thought it was lucky/fortunate though because the in the build up, just before Xhaka recieved the ball, it looked like it went out of play But its done now ![]() I loved Mesut's goal, it was so good, that the BBC are featuring him in a documentary: https://streamable.com/gyqr |

Let's hope they bring their form to the emirates on Sunday. Would be great to be the first team to beat them! |

Looks like spuds are heading for their true home, the Thursday cup.
Let's hope they play like that at the weekend. |

Form means nothing in a derby.
They will be up for it on Sunday. Let's hope our players are too. |

Indeed, it's been confusing to see them play on Tuesday/Wednesday. Usually, it's only one day until the weekend when they play in europe! Thursdsay should be Spursday

We all know they're a decent side of late and they'll be back to scoring ways eventually, perhaps on Sunday, but we're on a decent run with confidence flowing through the whole team – I'm not buying that that means nothing. |
