please let Wenger realise how poor Ramsey is in the very near future! Mind you today's speciality by almost the whole team (Kos was ok) was let's give the ball to a red shirt asap.
To play that badly and get a point is a pretty good result. Think Giroud should've started.

Don't care about the insipid performance, the 05 final was frankly a robbery, not this!!

Ramsey wasn't even match fit for a game like this - he's what, three games back from months and months out and should've been taken off at half time.

What got me big time was Monreal - it was never a penalty but for the goal, he was barely mobile, five yards from Herrera and made zero attempt to close that cross to Mata down, it was very very lazy defending by him. He shouldn't be anywhere near first choice left back. Giroud should've been on after half time, you could see Man Utd were too deep for Alexis and Walcott to run in behind and the scene was set for Giroud to head home. But they wouldn't cross the ball because Giroud wasn't on.

Don't get me wrong Man Utd weren't great either, marginally better. Darmian should've been sent off long before any goal as well.

We got a good point in the end imo. Don't why Alexis started as he wasn't fully fit.

Always good to see Maureen looking pissed off.

We've had a really solid combative and creative midfield this season and lo and behold we've done really well.

But now of course Wenger's love child is fit again and he simply HAS to play so the players that did so well will be benched and we all know what happens next.

Who bought and picked those midfielders you describe?

I know you feel that ODL can do little wrong, but it's perfectly reasonable to point out that a different midfield was probably a better option. This was pointed out before the game as well. While there's no doubt that Rambo's played a lot of great games for us, it's quite clear that he's not been that player for us for some time now. xhaka would have given us a bit more edge and would have been more effective getting the ball to Ozil, Sanchez or Walcot.

I suppose Ramsey who will only get back to his best by playing games. He is a very good player.

We have a good group of midfielders, who will all get game time this season. Ramsey should most defintely be included in that. He can't be blamed for the flat performance on Saturday. I don't think any of our team played well at all - save Giroud, who came on and did his job. The inclusion of ramsey didn't cause the whole team to play flatly.

The ref didn't give it, that's why! Maybe to make up for the fact that you could argue there was a clear foul on Monreal as he was clattered across the chest just before 'the incident'? In any case, I'm happy it wasn't given, as would most of us here in the Arsenal Supporters Thread, even happier that we managed to steal a point in the end!

Err quite easily. I think the only team who can complain about a penalty not being given this weekend is Bournemouth!

Any reason you feel the need to come in to our Supporters Thread to say this? If you want to complain then do it in your own thread, the fact is it wasn't given.

Regarding the midfield discussion, I would have preferred Xhaka to Elneny in the team but it's a positive for us that we've got a number of good midfielders who can be switched around between games. It may not have worked on Saturday but Wenger can't be expected to play exactly the same midfield every game.

I've posted the same one in the Utd thread and they all agree!

I would've thought for a player such as Valencia who regularly bursts at speed down the flank he would've been able to power past an outstretched arm and brush it away.

The problem was Valencia was already tripping over his own feet at the time and off balance and did a very good impersonation of the arm being the reason he fell over. It was never a penalty. Unless you can see some force with the arm movement (which you can't), it wasn't enough strength to knock a grown man over on it's own.

Really?!

You're really clutching at straws with that one!

Bellerin has signed his new contract. Takes him up to 2023.

I know a lot of people believe he will go back to Barcelona at some point, but for now at least he seems happy. He said this is his home and he doesn't want to be anywhere else

Brilliant news. He'll be the best in the world in his position for a long time to come.

Hope he stays. Signing a contract means little nowadays, just means the club gets more for him if he does go. But he does seem happy. Wish he was fit for tomorrow's game.
Cazorla's injury is worrying. We aren't the same without him playing and playing well.

I'm convinced Giroud will play tomorrow and will score. That's him jinxed then.

Too many Arsenal players off form. Many never really turned but Giroud's headed goal was as good as I have seen all season. It was an inspiration to see that man rise so high.

Ozil the big game bottler again! most overrated footballer I've seen !
That's not fair but he played poorly at Old Trafford.

On Motd they thought it was a penalty but the ref had a good look at it. Don't believe we impeded the mufc player. It was a tussle and they fell down.

Sanchez isn't out yet. Apparently he will play for Chile tonight – I wish he wouldn't though. I get their point – it's a world cup qualifier against Uruguay, they can't afford to rest him, but I suspect he isn't 100% and they're just like "Well if we make him more injured, that's Arsenal's problem not ours."

International breaks are a present from Satan!
No they are just tedious

The ref saw it clearly. Other refs in other games last weekend made much more serious errors.
