Nah, they don't want to be in the Europa League and their fans don't want them to be either. Wouldn't surprise me if they lost to CSKA.

It's still hilarious though - particularly the fans who are blaming the manager. Poch is the best manager they've had in years, ungrateful idiots!

Winner takes all tonight. Let's hope we turn up so we can play the kids on match day 6.

Finally starting playing at the end of the first half after sleepwalking through the rest of it.

Need to start playing better off the ball to stand a chance. Giroud reverted to type by providing hardly any movement but at least he dispatched the penalty.

Iwobi's decision making has been poor, might need to see Ox or Walcott come on.

Still not sure why Xhaka isn't starting these games.

Ramsey.. was he or wasn't he?

If you replay it his head & chin does seem to twitch from something.. this is before his amateur dramatics.

Shame we let them equalise. Oh well, Barcelona again in the next round then!

Didn't see us winning tbh. Team selection and mentality in the first half was all wrong and substitutions came late as usual.

Best chance in ages to top a CL group and as usual Wenger doesn't find what's needed to do it.

Don't think it was a hugely significant thing to win the group this year with the likes of Bayern and Real Madrid probably finishing 2nd

Well, we'll be knocked out in the next round then.
Sigh....
The Unbeatables continue their new run...

But it's not just who you play finishing top it's having the 2nd leg of each match at home.

Mission accomplished and the Europa League avoided. It matters not whether we finish 1st or 2nd. One way or another we will totally capitulate whoever we play, home 1st, away 1st, makes no difference. We haven't got a cat in hells chance of winning this competition so the sooner we make a swift exit the better and we can then concentrate on finishing top 4 so we can repeat the process again next season.

PSG are a much better side than us, and a much better coached side. Lucas and Matuidi are quite something and if Cavani took even 50% of his chances, we'd have lost both legs.
We are really playing v poorly, no attacking ideas at all. Not that we haven't seen this before.

We have better players. They have a better team.

Their training methods and playing identity makes it so.

I don't think we have better players. We have nobody as good as Matuidi, Moura, Motta, Thiago Silva and the much maligned Cavani has scored 21 in 21 games. I assume they are all on City type wages though.
Unai Emery right up there with the coaches I'd love to replace Wenger and I've thought that since he was at Sevilla. He's part of the new wave of younger, hyper energised, attention to detail, motivational and tactical coaches like Tuchel at Dortmund as well. No complacency allowed. Conté is similar, although probably even more tactical and even less forgiving of inept, limp performances.

Is this that important though? I mean, if you had the option then yeah you'd probably pick playing at home second. But really it doesn't bother me that much. I'm more concerned about the prospect of playing Barcelona.

I personally think it is yes. You know what you need to do and you have the benefit of the home support/comforts.

Hmmm perhaps it makes a small difference, but I'm still not fully convinced. I think the best team will win regardless of where they play the second leg.

Looking at the CL group tables I'm not convinced we'd have it "easier" if we finished top TBH, we could be playing Bayern Munich

Hoping for a good performance today, shame Spuds couldn't steal a couple of points of Chelsea yesterday. I was at a party and got updates from my friend who told me that the scum was up 1-0, which didn't narrow it down much, tbh.

We really need to start winning more games and we've not played well in spite of not losing much. Can do with a big score today to get the ball rolling again. On paper, there's no better opponent to achieve this than Bournemouth, but football's played on grass and we are The Arsenal so we'll just have to wait and see.

The return of Debuchy to the starting line up, and Wenger finally drops his golden boy as Xhaka and Elneny start in midfield.

No sign of Jenks anywhere then. Injured or dropped?
