Looks like we'll go out at the last 16 stage again, zzzzz
Finish 2nd, we get Bayern
Finish 1st, we get Bayern

Frustrating, isn't it? They're topping the Bundesliga again and seem to be scoring for fun. The only difference this year is the 2nd leg at home for us. Perhaps we can do to them what they and others have done to us, frustrate them away from home and finish the job at the Emirates.

We certainly seem to have more conviction these days, I know we may well have thrown in the towel a few times this year but we seem to be able to push through when going down.

Oh right. Okay. They are a great side no doubt. We certainly won't be a pushover either. Or I hope we won't.

Utterly predictable, wasn't it? As soon as we topped our group, it seemed inevitable that we would face Bayern as our 'reward'.

We do seem in better shape than in previous years and they're not quite what they were, so it's not a foregone conclusion that we'll lose like most years. I still can't quite see us getting through, but we should be able to make them fight for it at least.

I'm more optimistic with Alexis up front, he has changed our attack and brought the best out of Walcott and the pace up top. If Giroud starts it might be same old story.

I'd rather it be Bayern than Barcelona but the poorest perfoming team in the group stages got one of the best draws City vs Monaco. I think Arsenal can go through but I think Leicester will struggle against Seville, lovely time to be had there though so if I were a Leicester fan I would take a few days extra and not only enjoy Seville but the whole area, Malaga, Cadiz are quite close.
I was hoping for Sevilla just so as I could have another reason to go there and to Granada in winter too. Damn
Long time between now and Feb. If we'd finished second, we'd have got Barcelona
I'd not get/be able to afford a ticket for Munich anyway, and I don't like beer or sausages They don't play nearly as well without Robben and with his injury record, there's always hope.

I think your wrong and even though I'm not an Arsenal fan, my son is and it is the club I most want to watch I also watch the Bundesliga games every week and Bayern have been distinctly average this season. Yes they put 5 away against Wolsburg but that wasn't difficult as they have been well below par this season.

Provided Arsenal can keep their best players fit and on form then I for one think they have a great chance of not just beating Bayern but if they can avoid Barcelona could get to the final where anyone can win. Real beat their unbeaten record on Saturday but this season they have been far from convincing drawing games and decidely lucky on Saturday. Atletico Madrid have been average all season and aren't the same team as the last three seasons.

We seem to be doing better and seem more convincing this year yeah, but when I heard we got Bayern again, I could only think of this:

We knew two weeks ago that we win the group, when Bayern Munich were assured of finishing second.
Complete waste of time having that draw, we have knew for months who we will get, even with 28 possibilities at the start, we knew.

What next? A draw to find out what day of the week it will be tomorrow.

At least next season is the 'Different Draw' before we go back to Barcelona in 2018-19 and Bayern again in 2019-2020.

Sods law we get BM yet again. No complaints though, we won the group. Just bad luck we didn't get an easier tie. I'm not sure BM are the dominant force they once were though. There is a slight advantage in playing at home 2nd. Nick an away goal and we are in with a great shout.

I think Sanchez will get next year's Ballon d'Or, I can feel it in my water. Bayern Munich will be no problem, we have the manpower this time to win and hopefully, go all the way to the final. The traditional pre-Christmas hope trodden down in the New Year, an Arsenal tradition... x.

Same here, Everton have been poor and need a result probably more than us. Not particularly happy that Gabriel starts, Mustafi's been great and we'll miss him. Hoping Sanchez and Ozil are/remain on fire.

Nearly forgot that BFG and Wellbeck are still on the books!

Really impressed with Xhaka and Coquelin that first half.

Walcott needs to do better defensively for their goal. Bring on Perez as he has been anonymous 1st half.

Anything less than 3 points will be disappointing.

Big miss from Ozil. Poor game so far by his high standards.

Interesting stat. 11 consecutive games now without a clean sheet.

There's certain managers that know how to play against Arsenal. Koeman is one of them.

Indeed, but this should've been game over in the first half.

Players didn't fancy it and underestimated Everton.
